I was surprised about the amount of dirt that this pulls up everyday.
For not being a standard vacuum, I am really pleasantly surprised at all the cat hair and stopped at this robot vacuum pulls up. Definitely cannot take the place of a standard vacuum, but I basically run this every other day in the house and the carpets are looking great. You have to have any kind of clutter cleaned up around the house including cords and wrappers and dryer sheets or else this will suck it up and sometimes get stuck. I actually had a 3D print some bumper extenders because it kept getting stuck under my couch. Hopefully you have a 3D printer but probably not. That might be the only drawback that I know of is that it gets stuck under load things such as couches. Also, I wish there was a way to keep it from bumping into my bedroom door at night. I basically run this at 2:00 AM and sometimes the bump wakes up my wife. And it is not a smart vacuum in the sense that it's it knows exactly where it's going, so it relies on bumping into things to navigate. Which means it's bumping into my bedroom door several times over the cleaning cycle. Would be nice if they put a rubberized pad on the bumper so that it wasn't such a bang noise.

Excellent (refurbished)
I got a refurbished version of the i4+. It's a great little vacuum. It runs more quietly than our Dyson V6 stick vacuum. It is able to make the transition from hardwood floors to rugs by lifting itself up slightly. It has a bit of trouble with thick rugs on hardwood floor, so it's better to pick those up, but it will usually end up going around. It's great at sensing obstacles, and can even navigate under the dining room table and chairs, though it does take a while. Not having to empty the dust compartment every time is amazing as well. In terms of suction, it isn't quite as powerful as the Dyson, but since we can have it run every day with no effort on our part, it doesn't really matter if it leaves a few dust particles here and there; they'll get picked up the next time. The app is also pretty good. It lets you select which rooms to clean (after you label the map it creates), and has a Send Home function, which is great if you want to end the cycle early. After a month of use, I would definitely buy it again. This item was refurbished. It came in good packaging, though not the original. There were no signs of wear or damage, and everything worked great out of the box. The manual was very short and simple, but I didn't need any more than that.

No manuals, no QR code for activation, smart maps doesn’t work, won’t climb flat rugs. Useless.
This is an awful vacuum. Believe the bad reviews. There’s a reason eBay and Amazon are flooded with refurbished i4+ Roombas. It was useless for me. They don’t include a hard manual of any kind and the setup is not obvious. They claimed a quick start guide and a QR code were included. The QR code was included but wasn’t recognized. No quick start guide. No one thought to provide a manual for the self emptying feature and the best manual they have, applies to the model without self emptying. Because there was no “this is what is in the box” guide, I thought it was missing a brush and broke into a set of spare parts I bought along with it. That’s $20 wasted. If I had a manual, I could have seen the lopsided design was intentional. But aside from all this, it won’t climb a flat area rug a $110 robot handled just fine. It gets stuck everywhere and looks like it’s confused. But to top it off, the smart map feature is basically a hoax. I ran the mapping feature and then looked for my created map but could not label rooms and it didn’t appear in the smart map section of the app. When I click the smart map link in the the app, it just crashes every single time. I called technical support and the tech experienced the same thing. My $110 Yeedi special cheap model beats this one by a mile. Do not buy this. I will not buy a Roomba again. They should destroy these when they are returned rather than try to find suckers like me who think they’re getting a deal.

Despite software bugs, the i4 is getting the job done.
The i4 has some software issues. I have a 2700 sqft single story home with wood and tile flooring and two dogs. Cleaning time is about 5 hrs with a couple of bin emptyings before continuing the job. The i4 has been running every other day for a couple of weeks. It tends to not create the map history for about 50% of the runs for some reason. The smart map feature so far hasn't worked either. It mapped for hours then complained the space was too big.The dust bin and filter are very small compared to my old Neato BotVac but the vacuuming pattern the Roomba uses is far superior to the BotVac. Also the i4 doesn't get stuck under my dining room table like the BotVac liked to do.

overall good, needs better features
i had some issues with constantly getting a "full bin" message as soon as it started a new job and got any dust sucked up. I found a way to override that in the options but now im getting another error about low suction. I have another roomba with the self empty tower that works much better

Great for the price
No instruction manual but I got help online and watched some videos. I like it much better than my older model. It moves slower and makes less noise than the older model, except when it is emptying. it also seems to have fewer problems with the cats' toys, it pushes them out of the way rather than eating them. All and all the cats and I were happy with our old Roomba but we really like the new one.

Not Worth It.
Bought this product in August of 23’ worked great for 3 months, then the clip that held the brushes together started failing. Now, after owning the roomba for 6 months and change; the app says it’s cleaning, but the roomba is not moving at all. Don’t bother buying refurbished. There’s a reason it was retuned in the first place.
