Aesthetically Pleasing and (Hopefully) Works Okay
I purchased these to decorate my apartment in such a way that the noises I make would not penetrate out into the hallway so much. I tried a few different types of tape to get those up on the walls: didn't work. In the end I purchased some 3M adhesive squares which have been great. Easy to apply and comes off without messing up the paint. I haven't had to replace any of the sticky pads since installing them.In terms of this product's actual ability to dampen sound, I'm not convinced they're making a huge difference. I wasn't expecting it to be a dramatic reduction in noise, but it's a little hard to tell how much of the noise is actually getting cancelled. I like to imagine that they were working well, but from the hallway the noise level seems about the same. Perhaps I need even more?

Yes! Yes! And Yes Again!
This product is fantastic, inexpensive, and does a solid job at reducing noise. After installing, I would feel like I was going deaf in the ear facing the material - that's how good of a job it does at reducing noise. Purchased to reduce laundry room noise since I could hear it throughout my entire apartment and post-install everything is much, much quieter. I can't speak to the product's adhesion because I was apprehensive to use it since most cheaper adhesives leave a silly amount of residue or rip paint which makes for a cumbersome project. Instead, I decided to use Scotch's 3M indoor fastener strips (it comes in 15 foot roles for around $20). This holds the panels perfectly and it will rip of clean when you need to take them down. All in all, panels + fastener strips wound up costing me about $40 per door. Well worth the cost.

Good quality
Could have been easier to put up. But good product they should come with some thing to adhere them to the walls.

Results of reducing loud vehicles in bedroom
ProblemWhen I first moved into my townhome 10 years ago, it was pretty much at the edge of town and there was hardly any traffic on the street beside my place.About 3 years ago, traffic was picking up to the point where I added 1/4 inch acrylic storm windows over the large bedroom window in order to quiet things down, which helped significantly at the time.Due to town growth, I am no longer at the edge of town, but now completely surrounded by homes and condos. Not only has traffic increased significantly, but there are now plenty of loud sports cars, loud pickup trucks and Harley's driving by at all hours of the night. The walls in my townhome clearly weren't built for loud traffic and some of the loudest vehicles would measure above 90 db of sound inside my bedroom.SolutionFrom the various articles I read on sound dampening, I purchased the Bubos Sound Absorbing panels. I began with 2 x 24 packs, to see if it would help. 17 bundles later, I have finally gotten the sound down to the point where I can sleep through the night again. I had to put 2 layers on the 2 outside walls that face the traffic, as 1 layer was not good enough. And 1 layer on the outside wall that faces away from the traffic, in order to absorb any reflected sound. I would still get peaks of 90 db and averages of 70 db for loud vehicles, when I only had 1 layer on the 2 walls that face the traffic. Now the largest peak is 74 db, with typical room noise around 40 db.I also added the Nicetown curtains with felt liner to help with the sound dampening. Some concerns* The tiles are described as 12 inch x 12 inch, however they are really 11 7/8 inches. The description should more accurately describe the dimensions so that people can plan accordingly.* The white tiles actually have a slight hue of mint green.* The color isn't consistent from batch to batch, so it isn't hard to see the color variations on the wall. Fortunately they are in my bedroom, where the lighting isn't bright, so not as easily noticed. It would be nice if Bubos would also have a version of the tile that is about 1 inch thick, so that it wouldn't be necessary to put 2 layers on a wall when needed.Acoustically, I am satisfied with the end result overall and I can now sleep through the night without being woken up by the loud vehicles driving by. Part of me wonders if I should have removed the drywall and redone the walls with sound isolating techniques.

A Common Sense Review
I bought these to put on a wall that separates me and a neighbor because I was afraid the sound from my TV would be annoying to them. FIRST thing you need to know... these will NOT block noise from somewhere else, that's NOT how they work. These panels go in the room where the noise IS, helping prevent some of that noise from going to other rooms. My apartment is old and the walls aren't very even anymore, but I think I did a decent job of getting them fairly straight. It takes a lot of measuring, patience, and maybe some cutting... this isn't a quick peel & stick project if you want it to look nice. Mine have been up for a couple of months now, I haven't had any issues with any of them falling off or peeling away from the wall. I painted them and the first coat with a roller gave them a textured appearance which I thought was cool so I left it that way. I'm pretty sure if I decide to take them down I will be left with a sticky glue residue mess.
