I use to be able to buy this at walmart. You can't buy this gel locally anymore. They have the spray which 90% blows away in the wind and never gets on you but I guess if you have plenty of money and for the convenience you can use the spray but whatever. The lotion you can still get and works somewhat. It goes on white and and you have this cream on you for about 30 minutes that looks hideous and then the first time you go in the water it washes off. The gel, like you get here, it goes on clear and lasts about an hour in the water. Only sunblocker I have ever found that goes on clear and it is a little sticky but it works and it stays with you for at least an hour in the water. If you don't go in the water then you can use which ever product I suppose would be good.

Alcohol based, it dries in seconds. In the summer I add a (second) coat of aloe gator 40+ clear gel on top. I have irish skin, and the aloe gator definitely does more than just protect skin from the sun, but it is messy, so this clear, non-messy gel is my first line of defense in the winter, when I am likely to start the day wearing a long sleeve shirt. I put the sunscreen on before I leave home or I tend to forget. I am outdoors all day at least 150 days a year. The combo of this plus the aloe gator on top has stopped me from developing AK's on my arms, hands and cheeks. I haven't had an AK in over 5 years, but I can develop them in a month if I stop using sunscreen. Like I mentioned, the aloe gator, while messy, seems to actually repair my skin.

I love clear and waterproof sunscreen which is why I bought this.I originally started using Bull Frog 30 years ago and it seems the texture has changed a bit. Now instead of being more gel like, it seems to be very runny. Shaking the bottle helps a little but doesn't totally solve the runny issue.That said, if I'm very careful to not squirt out too much from the bottle, it works fine and keeps me from getting sunburned while me and my family play in the water.It's still far superior to white cream sunscreen and a better value than spray on sunscreen

I am very disappointed with this product. I have previously been purchasing BullFrog Sunblock for years. I found it apply easily and protected me for 6-8 hours when sweating heavily. No longer. I used this product and the first thing I noticed was little white pills forming as I put it on. The directions on the bottle say to reapply every 60-90 minutes. And it wore off as quickly as the instructions indicated.I can't find sunscreen that works 6-8 hours any more. This is now a junk product just like everything else on the market.

Hard pressed to find a better sunscreen. Not for everyone because of slight medical smell at application (goes away) and most definitely keep out of your eyes, but for a heavy sweater who is in the sun for hours this stuff rocks.Also be aware it is a serious coating so there will be a residual that can have dust and dirt attach but easy trade off for the effectiveness.

The only reason this gets one star is because I like the product. The packaging is awful, consistently I have owned bullfrog sunblock and it has leaked. I put it inside a ziplock bag after having several things ruined because of this. Even in a ziplock bag it is a pain to dig through a bag full of sunblock and apply it. Further did you know this will eat through other plastics and permanently stain bags? Also, luckily for me I got the opportunity to try cleaning up waterproof sunblock, if you haven't tried, it is a loooonnng process and nearly impossible because guess what? it is waterproof!

I purchased this product based on Consumer's Guide's high rating prior to our beach vacation this year. It did protect us from sunburn, but it's a disgusting gel that feels like you're rubbing lard on your body. The texture dissipates after it dries but it takes a while for that to happen. Everyone in our family who used it commented that it burned their facial skin when applied. One bottle lasts for about 4 whole adult body applications. In our case this was a good thing because no one would come back for a second try except my husband who didn't want to waste the money we spent on this awful product. Don't waste your money.

I love the way that this screen goes on the skin, that it is clear and it does help keep my skin protected. Yes, I am African-American and people think that we don't believe that we burn too. It is SPF 50 so that is quite a bit of protection. Not as fast as someone with lighter skin, but nevertheless, so (been sunburned a few times). I heard about sun lotions that were clear but didn't know where to find them unless I came to Amazon.
