I know nothing about plumbing and toilets but I needed something to brace the toilet tank at my apartment and these worked great. There were enough add on pieces in different sizes that I could brace the gap between tank and wall completely. Recommended..

After installing a new toilet I felt the tank needed a bit more support . I watched a youtube video that suggested these supports. Went on Amazon and there they were just what I needed. Put them on today to support the tank and its a marvelous thing. Just what was needed.

MINIMUM 1" gap, if it's smaller - this isn't the product you need. The adjustment knob is required for the system to work, and it's 1" to start - so the rest of the size adjustment bits are useless to you without the 1" knob to attach them.You cannot just adjust a tiny amount, the adjustment knob will be too large. Just go get regular shims in that case. If this is more than 2", it's also not the right tool - the mechanism you stack parts with is flimsy and questionable - choose one of the other systems for toilet support.I don't know why this was almost 20$, it's about 4cents worth of 3d printed material.

These are super-easy to use and work. The only thing I did not like was that you can see them from the top side. If it was designed to extend further 'down' the backside of the toilet, then it would be a 5-star rating from me. But, don't let that stop you from buying these because they really do work well.

Good design, easy to install, no cutting. Good quality plastic used in construction. Simple to install.
