With all the aluminum bodies and hoods it's a great no holes solution, some sort of conforming plastic for the anchor screws would make it better for aluminium

This is my second Browning NMO trunk mount. I have had the first one for a couple years. I think the model numbers are different, but they look identical. These clamp down and hold well on my trunk lid and I have always got good signal reports. I pair these with a Browning dual band antenna and the combination works great. I love the looks of this mount and the quality and construction seem to be really solid and the finish is great. The only nit I would have is I have taken the antenna off a few times and found water inside. This is rare, usually it is dry. Not sure how the water gets in there as I always take it off when going through car wash and be sure it air drys before putting antenna back on. So, the antenna must not be sealed down tight enough to keep water out. Good price too.

I use this mount for both a 2m antenna for the city and CB radio for the highway. Superior quality I chose over the other brands because of the sleeve where the coax cable exits the mount. My previous mount did not have this sleeve and water penetrated the mount causing a high SWR. Time will tell if the Browning will suffer the same fate but it appears to be better constructed. I may put some clear silicon around the entry point just to be safe.

I really like the quality of this mount. I drive a Ford F-150. To mount my antenna on the truck I put this mount on the lip of the hood by the windshield. I do recommend you work with the mounting screws a little bit to get a good grounded mount because the old Ford's paint was nice and thick. This method of mounting the antenna to the truck worked much better than the old "L" bracket and NMO mount.The quality of this bracket was MUCH better than I ever expected for this cheap of a price too!
