Q: Are these waterproof?

They will be if you add more silicone caulk on the back of it and be careful the wires they have a habit to pull out really easy and short the light out other than that they are very bright and work very well

Yes I have it connected to ignition so as soon as you turn the ignition the light come on and the orange to turn signal

Q: Is there a switch that can turn them from being amber to white lights?

Do not need a switch. The three wires need to be wired separately. The black line connected to negative. The red line connected to the positive (fog lights, headlights, daytime running lights, reversing lights, etc. are Ok). The yellow line connected to the turn signal light; when turning on the turn signal light, it will light the amber light.
