Excellent alternative to GE OEM filters
These filters work just fine and install the same as the factory OEM units. I personally feel that the installation method for even the OEM filters seems a little "seat of the pants" and it's hard to tell if the install is done just right. These filters have the same kind of feel installing.Overall, a pretty good choice and a lot less expensive than the factory unit. Because this new refrigerator is in our 2nd, Florida house, I think we burn through them with the passage of time rather than the amount of water they actually filter. If we lived all the time in Florida, then maybe it wouldn't seem like such over-kill for the usage. Oh well, you have to use these things or your ice and water chiller won't work anymore!

Great replacement filter for GE Fridge
Easy to install and fits perfect. Less expensive than the original GE version but works just as well. Highly recommend. This is my second purchase.

Awesome Replacement
This filter replacement has been an easy and convenient way to ensure our water is always fresh! I don’t have to even wait on my husband to replace it. I took it right out of the box and it was easy to replace. Took just a few seconds. Will definitely be reordering and everyone in our neighborhood does too!

Works as advertised
Simple replacement for GE fridge water filter. A little tricky to remove the old filter the first time you do it but the replacement filter fits perfectly.

Cheaper than the originals
Really dislike that my GE fridge starts nagging me to replace these filters after a certain period of time. Yes, I can reset the nag, which I do until I feel like they are no longer working as well as I would like. It's strange that they nag you to replace them after time and not after how much they are used. These were a perfect replacement for the originals at a lower cost. Will be buying these from now on.

Works for the price
it works nothing special about it, it does what it’s supposed to without the price of the brand name, tastes like normal water it’s not pond water, no flow problems and no leaks

Filter is great
Amazon is great, filter itself works and seems to be good quality. Original design is crap. Difficult to install, difficult to remove, little plastic tabs that break off. Terrible.Actual filter does its job and water tastes fine.
