DMX isolated splitter
Our system consisting of 30 plus lights had all kinds of glitching using DMX controller. Problems dimming and flashing during the shows, not working at all, blaming the dimmers or controller board. Someone told me about this inexpensive splitter how reliable it is. I second that. Very reliable splitter. I routed color LED instruments separately from conventional single channel lekos or other instruments. I put an extra 3 and to 5 pin splitter and also 3 and 5 to 3 and 5 pin inputs. Meaning one has 3 and also 5 pin DMX inputs so not only you can add more instruments up in the grid but use combination of 3 and 5 pin DMX lights. Our lighting system works so well no. These devices are on 24-7. it's been while and not a single problem. I highly recommend these.

It works
A friend recommended a few of these as I was building a DMX kit for lighting commercials. They have proven invaluable, not only for splitting, but for boosting signal.

Amazing box, works great! Just a little constructive criticism.
Amazing unit, it works awesome. I should have bought it years ago and avoided all the crazy dmx runs. My only critical feedback is that I'd love to see it more rugged and stage / touring ready. For example - a metal box enclosure, IEC or ideally a PowerCon connector, and built in lacing straps. Wall warts are annoying, prone to loss, and easily yanked out of the box. I'm going to have to get used to taping the box up every gig to prevent the power cord from getting pulled and keeping it secure in the truss.Considering they included a rack clip, this is probably meant for permanent install in a rack. There are brands that offer models with these pro touring features, but I wanted Entech since they have a great reputation.I'd also like to see an all 3-pin version. It's rare to mix 3 and 5 pin, so just give us one or the other. I had to buy (2) 3 to 5 pin converters for an extra $15.Not complaining, I made the intentional choice to forgo these features for the good brand name. Maybe they can make a pro/touring version for $250 in a more rugged box.But overall, I'm very satisfied and feel better about buying the Entech brand.

Solved some persistent instability in a DMX installation
If you have “gremlins” in your DMX lighting setup that sometimes cause odd issues, this unit may fix that. A longer DMX chain may work better if split out and fed from more than one source, and this unit has four isolated outputs. In my case, it wasn’t necessary to split the chain, but inserting this between the regular DMX interface and the lighting has solved some ongoing intermittent stability problems.
