So useful!!
I have a dog who needs a lot of daily and weekly exercise so the link has been so amazing for tracking his activity. It shows his steps and how many minutes during the day he is being active which is super helpful to me so I know if he is getting enough in the day. I really love that it just clips onto his current collar and he doesn’t even know it’s there. We spend alot of time in the woods on trails or running big fields so the GPS feature is a big peace of mind and proves to be very accurate. My favorite feature is tracking our trail time and seeing how many miles my crazy boy runs during that time. We also use the vibrate function a lot and it works like a charm to call him back to me. So far I’m super impressed and have been really enjoying our link! I’ve had other similar products in the past but wasn’t a huge fan. This is definitely a quality buy for any breed of dog.

Does not actually track your dog
I rarely write reviews but the reviews on this product were so misleading I felt the need to add my 2 cents worth. The app reviews on the google store are far more accurate as to what you can expect from the product. I tested the collar before letting my dog Chief go running with it. I found that while the collar worked perfectly while the dog was within blue tooth range as soon as he was outside it all functionality ceased. I wasn't even able to use the tracking feature because it claimed my dog was right with me. We live in a highly urbanized city center. There is plenty of signal and we at one point were holding the collar up facing the sky trying to get it to connect. Nothing. As far as the device was concerned my dog was at home the entire time he was on a walk down at the city park 10 blocks away. There is no way this is reliable enough to trust with someone's pet. I don't know how in good conscience this company can continue to operate.

It does work but prepare to have patience
The media could not be loaded. The attached video was the acid test day for “Link My Pet”. We were packing to go on vacation and Luna (our two plus year old Husky) knew it. I told her it was not time to get in the truck yet but she was eyeing the door every time it opened waiting for her chance to escape, and the little escape artist made her move and was out the door. Once she was out she checked the truck door and since it was not open she decided to take one last detour of our farm before we left. She can cover 500 yards in a flash. This device is not the same as the bulky tracking collar used on the hunting dogs and it’s not even close to real time updates but it cost less than a tenth of the bulky Garmin Alpha 100. Back to the story, Luna runs through the pumpkin patch ignoring every recall command she responds to when she’s in the house, in a fenced area, or on a 100 foot training tether. In other words she’s a very smart Siberian Husky and she knows when nothing stands between her and the instincts that make up her breed. I wasn’t close to my phone and by the time I got it she was out of site heading into the dense woods. It already knew Luna was “away” but the last known location was on the edge of the woods and when I got there Luna was not. About 20 minutes passed as I had to go dawn the proper attire to search for her in the woods. As I was doing that her location updates about 1000 yards away in a complete different direction that she was last seen and heading. Oh did I say Huskies don’t really bark when they hunt they are very quiet unlike the hounds that hunt around us during deer season. Thankfully she had moved back into a cell (LTE Verizon) area and I was able to start my search. She found the dense edge of a swampy creek and a hole (house) of some kind of animal. I had to literally get in the hole with her to attach her leash as she was in full on prey drive.Needless to say she needed a bath and our departure time for vacation was delayed at least another hour by the time she was clean and dry enough to get in the truck. Was it real time like the Garmin is when I let her go on purpose? No! But if I had that bulky thing she would likely not have been wearing it either. I am finding in our area and using it that I can get two days before it needs a change and normally change it overnight when there is less of a chance a door will open.I’ve got her trained to come back to me for tone but only in ideal conditions where prey drive is not overriding. The vibration is used for “Leave It” but again nothing beats Husky prey drive.Long story but very satisfied given the price point and battery life. And if she does escape and runs through cell (Verizon only) you have a decent chance of finding your dog. Before Link My Pet she found that swap and was gone for like three hours before she came home covered in swamp mud. She’s such a sweet dog. LOL!!!

Super helpful for adventurous husky
Our Luna LOVES to climb our back fence and explore the neighborhood and this has made it so much easier to get her back home. It holds a charge for quite a while and gives you plenty of warning before it dies. The tracking has been incredibly accurate and helpful. The only thing that is a little annoying is if your home wifi is spotty it can mess with the link. It attaches to your home wifi so that if they leave the wifi area it let's you know she is out of bounds. But if the wifi is spotty, it will sometimes tell us she has left, even if she is sitting in the living room. This is definitely a wifi issue though and not a Link issue. The other thing thats a little silly is the the training features only work if you're in range of the link and they don't always work consistently. We use a separate training collar for our pups so it's not a huge issue, but if you were looking to use it for training as well, you might want to look further I to that.

TRY A DIFFERENT TRACKER
Bought 2 of these for our dogs and paid for 2 years service for each. Charged them both up and put them on let the dogs out and it would say they were gone and you could see them standing outside, go to track when they were away and they would be together when you actually found one but the system would say they were far apart. When the battery died in one of the units after the initial charge it would not take a charge again, my girl friend called tech support and they said they would send another we never received it and the other one will get you in the vicinity of where the dog is.we have very good cell coverage in the areas we try to used them so it isn't that I in no way recommend this product I am out somewhere in the neighborhood of $400 or more for one spotty tracker and the company has terrible tech support and customer service
