I love this can opener! After using one myself, I purchased this as a gift for my mother, who is ALWAYS in the kitchen. It is extremely easy to use, and a much better alternative to a clunky countertop opener. Also, my mom has some arthritis in her hands and I knew this would be so much easier for her (than a mechanical can opener) - it does all the work by itself. Lastly the claim of "no sharp edges" really IS true! Forget about dealing with the sharp sides of open cans anymore.It is made of plastic and not metal, so it is not as sturdy as an all-metal version, but we both love the colors we chose (red!) and the price is excellent. Both my mother and I give this can opener 5 stars!

I didn't use this until the other day because I didn't have a need for it until then. I had to open a couple of cans recently, and it didn't open either can. It didn't fit the lip/edge of the can in order to cut through the can. It says it has a 1-year manufacturers warranty, but I no longer have the box it came it or the documentation for it. I'm out about $10, but live and learn. Make sure you use the item as soon as you receive it just to make sure it works! Just don't buy it!

Works as well as any other gentle edge can opener i have purchased, i hope it lasts a little longer though. I only get about 6 months to a year on any one that i have bought. Update, this POS is dead within 30 days, It spins around the can but does,nt cut. This was the last electric can opener that i will ever purchase, back to manual it is.

Very cheap product..... worked the on the first can... second can it runs for about 5 seconds and you here a pop... the pop it how it squeezes together to cut can poping apart.... 3rd can just pops and dosent cut.

This can opener lasted about a year. Always had issues with it. It wouldn't seat right, it would go through batteries.. and its design doesn't have an auto shut-off, so it'll go 'round and 'round until you stop it. It finally gave up the ghost yesterday. I'll buy a different brand, different design. I am guessing these all have been built by the same manufacturer and re-branded, so avoid this model/style.

I absolutely love this can opener....when it works. This is the second one I have bought, the first one stop cutting the lids after about 4 months of use. I searched and searched for a different type of can opener that would possibly last longer than this can opener at the price that I paid, but I couldn't find another like it. So I'm taking a chance and hoping that the first one was just a fluke and this one will last much longer.The can opener itself is an awesome little product. It fits nicely in my utensil drawer so that's one less thing on my counter top taking up space. You just set the can opener on top of the can, push the button and let go and it does it's job. Within a few seconds you have a cleanly cut lid with no chance of getting cut on a sharp edge. My 8 year old granddaughter really loves to help me open the cans with this. It is great for people that have carpal tunnel, arthritis, or other hand issues. I would highly recommend this product, I just hope this one lasts a little longer than my first one.

it works great... i just wish it would stop when it was done cutting open the can. you have to manually stop it.

This particular model leaves the top of the can lids sharp enough to leave little paper like cuts on your fingers..The better product is the model with the skinnier body~Do Not Buy~
