I see a lot of reviewers rating this poorly because of the taste. Yes, they're not great tasting, but they work very nicely to soothe your GI tract. My opinion is that if you're complaining about taste, you don't have that severe of esophagus or stomach problems. Those of us with chronic GI disease don't care what something tastes like if it helps the overall problem.

I bought these for my boyfriend as a recommendation from a GI doctor. They temporarily help with gastric upset but he says they taste horrible.

Recent studies have linked xylitol artificial sweetener to increased risks of stroke and heart attack. If you take a couple of these a day you may be putting yourself at increased risk. It’s a pity because it seemed like the safest and most useful sweetener, but at this point all artificial sweeteners seem to have problems, and products that contain them become suspect.
