I usually buy OXO products because their grip works well with these arthritic hands. I decided to try this one out on a recommendation of a friend who recommended it based on the ceramic blade. Since I purchased a ceramic salt grinder quite a while ago on Amazon, I thought I would give this a try. Many of my peelers needed to be trashed after a while due to the rusting or loss of sharpness.The handle fits my hand really well despite a natural (I think SS) finish. Not as thick as I am used to with "wrapped" handles yet it felt good in the hand, solid and no strain on any finger joints. Saw one review here about the fact that the blade is only one way. That is a HUGE PLUS for me as my (almost) unbreakable tendency to peel TOWARDS my body.Time will tell if the sharpness of this peeler stands up.Family members may see this as a holiday/birthday gift this year.

Everything the description says: Sharp, comfortable in your hand, stainless steel handle will not rust etc. The one I received only peels "away" from you, not "toward" you. I guess if you are left handed you would peal "toward" you. Still, it is very sharp and effortless, so it does a good job; but if I had to do it over, I probably wouldn't spend the money. Seems a bit pricey for what you get.

It works but not nearly as well as a stainless steel one. if you buy this buy it because ceramic is a healthier option than steel. but comparable steel peeler will work better that this.

Love how nice and sharp ceramic peelers are and this one is comfortable to use. Big flaw in my opinion - but does not work in both directions, which would be extremely useful, depending on what you're peeling.

Haven't had the chance to use it much, but it did work when I did. It is sharp, but the swivel action of the blade can be a bit tiresome when it doesn't comply.

Actually, I should have returned it. Its only designed to peel away from your body. That is awkward for me. And besides I bought it for an off label use....heel callouses...and I am simply not dexterous enough to use it. I tried a potato and still find it weird. sorry guys. maybe try just a regular blade that works both ways?

I have other peelers, but I was hoping this would take smaller bits of the apple, not so much apple with the peel. OK, and especially good with ginger root. I have used the edge of a knife like scraping carrots, but this is much better for that.

I bought it because I needed a peeler that works for my left-handed boyfriend. It turns out it isn't lefty friendly...other than that, it's a good peeler.
