Univen Rechargeable Clipper Battery Compatible with Wahl Trimmers Shavers 93148-100

This is the third time I have replaced the battery in my clipper over the 10-15 years that I have owned it. I have always had problems with Wahl products because either their contacts or on/off switches have been problematic. With this shaver the battery never seemed to hold its charge or would slide out of place and I could jiggle it. I even put some extra solder on the battery contacts. For whatever reason this battery, which is a different brand than I purchased in the past, does great. It holds a charge for a long time and always performs well. Time will tell.

Working Great

it fit well into the unit and maintained the charge at first but now it seems to lose some of its power quicker and its only been several months…hopefully it will continue to maintain its charge

Absurdly over-priced compared to the same battery without the button on top, but what are you going to do if you need this style. It did fit my Wahl clipper perfectly and has been working fine for a month or two--will have to wait to see how long it ultimately lasts.

This replacement battery for my Whal trimmer looks nothing like the advertised picture. The battery does not have a nice plastic yellow or green skin; it’s has a thin cover of cardboard only!! Also, the positive terminal is not securely attached. It is a hollowed out positive terminal with a wire soldered onto it going into the battery. When I first tried to get it to fit inside, the terminal almost broke off! I successfully managed to work it into the trimmer and have the positive terminal stay in place. It works. It charges up. But what a piece of junk.

This was the exact battery needed to replace the one that had died in my Wahl Clipper. All I had to do was open the battery compartment remove the old battery and replace it with this one. After charging the Clipper worked just like it did when I first got it years ago.I recommend that you do not leave the battery constantly plugged into its charger as I did. Leaving it in the charger caused the battery to develop a "memory" - not being able to run very long before it needs to be recharged again. This caused the battery to lose the capacity to hold much charge as time goes on (all NiCad batteries do this). The Wahl charger is not a "smart" charges so let it run down some, but not all the way (I made that mistake on another Wahl Clipper battery - which could not be recharged after the battery was totally discharged) and then charge it again, taking it off the charger after charging overnight.

We will be returning our battery. It does not fit. Thank you for our timely experience.
