The Temple of Man

Detailed and life changing
Just finished volume 1 last night and I am just now starting volume 2. The depth of this book is immense, and the amount of information in it is daunting. With that said, if you want to connect and understand the ways of the ancients, YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!! Stop scrolling through the comments and do yourself a favor. If looking for confirmation, get temple in man, it is of the same precision and much shorter. Get it and find the greatness within you

I finally found it!
I had been looking for this book for ages ! If you love the ESOTERIC,The METAPHYSICAL and ANCIENT HISTORY,this is the book for you!! Beautifully illustrated book jacket as well as some pages, but beware of the least amount of spilled water on the pages of this book!! If you're not careful in blotting those drops up right away:those drops will practically eat its way right through that page! I've never seen anything like it! Cheap paper!! I don't necessarily blame China, who printed it ,but the publishing house that OUTSOURCED the printing! I'm quite sure they saved a lot of money by going this route, but the quality of the paper "sucks". I'm of mixed emotions because on the one-hand you have a rare book at a cheap price and on the other-hand you'll have to really protect this book from any amount of accidental water damage! In a quality publication, the most you might get is a water stain, which would be unsightly, but in this situation, that water drop actual appears to melt the paper-to eat its way right through the page! Overall a really great book printed on really cheap paper!

The Temple of Man Lives Again +++
This vast deep work by R. A. Schwaller de Lubwicz on the Apet of the South at Luxor is unique. I have seen nothing quite like it in its incredibly precise detail and analysis of the physical and implied metaphysical aspects of this glorious Pharaonic Temple in Luxor of Old Egypt. Perhaps the Great Cathedral at Chartres, France and some of the studies on that, come close. "The Temple of Man", in its pair of very fine big books, is the result of several decades of intense study and learning onsite and offsite by the author -- with the critical help of Lucie Lamy -- she being a very dedicated assistant [and step-daughter] to de Lubicz. I find this work already persuading me as to the vast age and Symbolique Spirit of Old Egypt. The author and assistant are very precisely detailed in the measurement and harmonic analysis of this primary structure of Old Egypt in Luxor. Related facts and ideas are presented to further understanding of the Symbolique Creativity of Old Egypt -- as demonstrated in particular by this Apet of the South. The facts, factors and aspects so re-enforce one another that I find it difficult to even partially reject the conclusions of R. A. Schwaller de Lubwitz concerning the metaphysical Symbolique Spirit of Old Egypt. This is great -- as little remains of the Old Religion of Old Egypt and its all-encompassing Symbolique Spirit +++

The more I read, the more it makes sense.
Schwaller is not an easy read; you won't be burning through the pages. Lots of math which you can skip over, but Schwaller has penetrated what modern Egyptologists don't have the mental capacity to understand. This is what sets Schwaller apart from the rest; he explains to you the Pharonic mentality, the doctrine of the Anthropocosmos, and that the greatest teacher is Nature. You will also learn about the limits of our modern science and the limits of cerebral comprehension. The content can be quite dry as Schwaller does not seem to put any emphasis on entertaining while writing. Props to the translators of this text; the books are wonderfully bound and just a beautiful set to have on the coffee table. Note: Schwaller reveals nothing. As a man of the highest order, he does not explain to you the student, what you need to know. He guides you and it is only your ability to understand which will determine your comprehension of the material. This is how it was done for thousands of years, so don't expect anything to be spelled out for your in the same manner your college professor may have done for you.

Fleshing out my Overstanding (as opposed to 'Understanding')~ Constantly expanding Fulfillment
I've wanted this book since 2006 after reading Sacred Science. I've read several of his other texts, but finally the cost of these volumes fell within my reach. Everyday of study in Vol I has been a joy. Hope the architectural calculations and math of Vol II prove equally as enlightening.

" A bibliography is unnecessary."
"Notes to facilitate reading, the theme of this book being original, a bibliography is unnecessary." This is a two volume set that will probably take me more than a year to get through ! Love it !

Beautiful and Thorough
These two volumes are beautiful and worth the price. This is a collector's item, in addition to being chock full of arguably the most detailed modern analysis of ancient Egyptian wisdom known to mankind. A must buy for seekers of ancient wisdom.

Simply stunning
I bought this book some four years ago and wonder how it is possible to ever be in a real position to review it. I'd very much like to read Schwaller de Lubicz' own review of his opus. What I can say is that it is a monumental piece of work, mind-expanding, massive, and just in case there is life after death, please could my family bury me with this close by.It is also a stunning work of translation. Deepest thanks are owed to their skill and dedication.

The Temple of Man
This was bought as a present for my son who is into esoteric matter and although quite expensive the first feedback I have from him is that this is a monumental tour de force written by a very clever man who has spent a long time researching the subject of Ancient Egypt and worth every penny. Thanx also for very quick delivery from America

A book that skeptics should read
This is an impesssive looking book, and the content is as impressive as the physical two volume book. Normally I sit on the other side of the table from some of what Schwaller De Lubicz writes, but it is very clear that he is no lightweight poser or even outright charlatan that these days infests the study and interpretation of Ancient Egypt. The author is highly intelligent and has put much thought into this book, and he has made a genuine attempt to get inside the minds of Ancient Egyptians and make sense of them. Whether or not anybody agrees or disagrees with his findings, in whole or in part, and I agree in part, his honesty, his obvious belief in what he writes has to be admired. I gave five stars not because I agree with him, for in many areas I do not, but because this really is a fantastic book, and he does raise some questions that are not addressed by conventional Egyptology. There is, as is human nature, a certain pompous stuffyness with some conventional Egyptologists and, it is sad to say, true that some have closed minds or an inability to see beyond dry facts. Now, facts are important, otherwise we become overwhelmed by nonsense about "ancient aliens", "banned history" and any number of bizarre theories about pyramids. However, what is sometimes lacking is a rational attempt to get inside the minds of people long dead. This book provides that. Now, some honesty from me, I have a double meaning in the title of my review. I certainly do think that skeptics etc should be prepared to "think outside the box", but this book, magnificent as it is, is, rather unfortunately, a template for the miriad fringe books about Ancient Egypt that have appeared in the decades since Schwaller De Lubicz's days. He, I am convinced, is no charlatan whatsoever, but the way he has presented his ideas in this book have been copied, badly, by the modern day charlatans who pad out their miserable tomes with endless geometric illustrations and page after page of bogus formulae, all in an attempt to bambozzle the the unwise into thinking they are being presented with facts or some great revelation. Skeptics should read this book so they can see where these lightweight charlatans have stolen their ideas of presentation, and can then be better prepared to counter the fringe nonsense, and also to see that not all ideas that they see as counter factual are nonsense. We can measure and disect the physical remains of Ancient Egypt ad infinitum, but these remains were first created in the minds of the Ancient Egyptians, and so try to understand their minds needs a bit more than a slide rule and a book of Ancient Egyptian grammar. Schwaller De Lubicz has made a very good attempt to understand the minds of those long dead.
