They work great but, there are things you should know........
OK, first let me say that Adams flea and tick collars work as advertised. Yup, they definitely kill ticks. In fact, they work so well, I NOW KILL TICKS when they bite me! Not really Adam's fault exactly. But if you play with and pet your dogs a lot. Or, like to roll around on the bed and play fight, they sleep with you, you might want to look into natural options for flea and tick control. Also, if your dog starts acting all hyperactive like they got a dose of METH after ANY sort of flea and tick treatment. Stop using those products on them as they are having a bad reaction. this can happen within hours of the shot, days for the liquids like Advantix and up to months for the collars. We have tried all 3 on one of our dogs and even the collars effected him after a year and a half. Again, I'm not trying to bash Adams. Just trying to let folks know there might be a downside with the flea and tick products in general. If you have an outside dog that can tolerate these treatments and you live in the woods like we do, by all means, these collars work wonders. But if you spend a lot of "up close" time with your dogs, be advised that you WILL be exposed to the active ingredients in this collar. And those ingredients are NOT APPROVED FOR HUMANS.

Great Collar. Great Price
These collars are working very well for killing ticks. My beagle got out of the yard and went for a run in the woods all day. The next day I put this collar on him and then one day later took him to the vet. He was dropping little small ticks all over the vets office. His hair was so thick I didn't even notice them. It was kind of embarrassing but I did explain to the vet what happened. The same thing happened with my hound. He ran off for a day and came home loaded with ticks which started falling off after a few hours of him being back home. He is a couch potato and I was able to see the ticks on him. He managed to get out twice over the course of a week and I have pulled at least 60 ticks off of him. All were dead or dying. The one thing I don't like about the collar is that it comes off easily. My hound did lose one of his Adam's collars in the woods, but luckily I had a spare. So far I have not seen any fleas this season but out of the 6 dogs I have that wear these collars, all ticks are dead or dying. The other dogs don't seem to pick up ticks like the hounds. I did shave the big hairy dogs (great Pyrenees), so I cannot attest to the collars working thru a lot of hair, but they do work on my 100 pound dog. Some people may not understand how flea and tick meds work. The pest DOES have to bite the animal to die. There does not seem to be a repellent factor. Killing pests before they have a chance to breed and lay thousands of eggs will eventually eradicate any pest problem in your yard or home, and prevent future issues. Your pet may still get bitten by the occasional bug if a visitor brings one in, or he goes for walks outside his own territory, but they won't be able to create an infestation and the problem is greatly minimized. Hopefully soon, there will be a repellant action, but in the meantime, I suggest using a repellant product on your dog and yourself if you'll be in tick or flea territory.

Adams Flea Collar
Can't use this product. We have used the Adams flea and tick spray for years. Excited to see the collar. Put it on our fur baby, after several tries (Not Senior Friendly), and about two hours later I had some puffiness in my face. Went to sleep and overnight, my eyes swelled shut! Removed collar and problem solved! If you have allergies, this is not for you!
