Cordless Heated Gel Cap/Hair Therapy Wrap/Used with Oil or Conditioner for Deep Penetrating Hair and Scalp Treatments

After moving to another country, my hair became very thin, dry and damaged from washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner purchased here which I don't think is for my hair type (4C) but I chose it as it said it was sulphate free. My hair became so thin and dry and just broke off easily.I used this heat cap as per instruction after applying Shea Moisture Deep Contiioner and immediately I noticed I a huge difference! My hair strands are now thicker and stronger. I've been using this Gel Cap for two months now and have no problems with it.The instruction says to set microwave power at 800W and microwave for 2mins. I set mine on 700W and microwave for 2mins. I've also heated it at 2mins at 800W as well and found no problem.Also you can first heat the cap for 1min or 30secs and check the heat to adjust to how hot you want your cap to be then continue to heat for another 30secs, etc but not beyond 2mins. If you're afraid that the gel might burst...i.e.Wrapping your hair with plastic cap before putting on the heat cap keeps it clean as well.Note:The thick elastic band gets tight around my head but I don't mind as it really does the job and I only have it on for 3mins.I use my cap every week or sometimes after two weeks.

I love this cap. It’s so convenient and easy to use. I have 4a 4b textured hair that is very big. I use deep conditioning often. I was using the portable table top dryer and it got on my nerves sometimes rolling it around, making sure I have a chair that fits under the dryer etc. I still use the table top for rollersets and other styles, but I use this one for deep treatments. It does got very hot so make sure you only microwave for 2 mins. Before placing on your head protect your hair with a plastic processing cap first, then put on. The gel in the cap stays warm for a very long time, about an 1 hr. I was very impressed. It’s a very close fit , practically hugs your head. It’s easy to clean as well. Be sure to air dry or use a towel to dry the cap thoroughly before storing.

It worked well while it worked, but after six uses, one of the gel pockets popped and leaked out, setting off a smoke alarm and rendering the product useless. I heated for two minutes per the instructions. I replaced it with a plug in heat cap. It’s less mobile, but stays hot for the entire time I use it, and I’m fine sitting down and reading a book or watching a movie while my conditioner does it thing beneath a much safer cap.

I wanted to use my cap a few times before I submitted my review...... I was excited to get this cap because I thought it would be a great opportunity to deep condition AND move around the house if need be..... so I used it 1st time it worked great!!!! Stayed hit for 20 mins. 2nd time? Same thing 20 mins... hair felt great!! 3rd time... the cap is heating in the microwave and then I heard a POP AND SIZZLE!!!! I opened it immediately and it was a HUGE HOT BUBBLE.... my cap busted and gel came out. I am devastate. If it worked all the time like the 1st and 2nd time it would be an amazing product but unfortunately for me.... I need to figure something else out😔

Love this hot cap! Perfect for deep conditioning treatment. The cap stays secure on the head and keeps all the hair in. I have long thick hair and this just adds the boost really getting the deep conditioners to work (recommend OH K and OUAI brands). Be sure to clean the inside after each use. Originally heated for 3 minutes as stated but brough it down to 2 since it heats up pretty well. Great quality with a thick elastic band. May need to use couple times to stretch it out as it can seem tight initially (has some marks on my head from it). Other than that, great buy.

The first two or three times I used this cap, it worked great. However — consistent with multiple other users’ experiences — on the third or fourth time the gel inside burst, the outer material began to melt in spots, and the cap began emitting smoke inside my microwave. The previous times, I’d heated it for 2 minutes. The final time (when it burst) I’d set the microwave at 1:30 and it still had a few seconds to go when I noticed the smoke. I spent about $15 on this. Some people might call roughly $5 each for three (successful) uses “value for money.” However, this product is advertised as a long-term use product and the cap failed despite my following product instructions. Based on my and other user experiences, it appears to me that there is an issue with the material weakening over time that the manufacturer/creator might want to address.

This cap is wonderful. Came on time and in working condition. The instructions were clear to read, and it works great. I like to do a deep conditioning treatment on my hair every two weeks, and this gives me mobility while I do so. The cap is a little hot on the top of the head for me, and I suggest to have your hair covering your entire scalp. Leave no part or area uncovered. This was a great buy. Would purchase again, and I recommend it to any naturalista.** I use this along with an ordinary clear, plastic shower cap. Still works fine.
