Funny & Entertainng
I really enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading I could not stop. When I really was getting into it, it ended. I was flipping for more pages to read. Sam kept it real in this book. Some things in the book would make you sit there like, "for real?" "oh no she didn't!"......I think everyone will enjoy and will laugh as much as I did. Some of the stories written will make a woman think about some things.

"Men Do What Women Allow," by Sam Sylk, is a controversial novel that is designed to equip women with knowledge about relationships and shed some light on what control a woman has within that relationship. Sylk draws upon a few "case studies" of young men and women to drive home his point that men are taught how to treat women at an early age. He asserts that it is never the man's intention to dog the woman out. He goes on to say that it's the game men learn from women at an early age that cause them to think that is how it's supposed to be. Fact or fiction? You'll need to read the book to see how this author justifies his stance.Although Sylk is obviously writing this book for women, he occasionally misdirects his commentary to men. Additionally, I questioned the author's choice to boldly use such derogatory terms as "b****" and "hoe" in a self-help book for women. I could be wrong, but it seems a softer approach would have been more fitting. Despite these detractions, Sylk has moments that are nothing short of witty and insightful. In these instances, you will find yourself laughing, nodding in approval and even questioning how your own actions contribute to your relationship status."Men Do What Women Allow" is not the type of book that I would normally pick up, but it was an interesting read. The author stands firm in his beliefs and I respect that. Sometimes funny, sometimes vulgar and always direct, this is not a book that you will soon forget.

Dating do's and dont's...
I looked at the cover and read the title and quickly formed own opinion. I just knew that Sam was just like the "others" claiming to enlighten me on men and dating. I was definitely in a for surprise because this wasn't your typical relationship book, instead of pointing fingers and dancing around issues Sam tackled the real issue of why so many females fail at dating because of their mind not being right but more so not loving themselves enough to demand more from the men they date.Sam's book was delightful and entertaining. I laughed throughout the book but there was times I gave the side eye too but nonetheless a great quick read and I would recommend it to females currently in the dating scene.Men do what women allow is definitely a must read and readers will not be disappointed. This statement is not to confuse you with after reading it all females can land the man of their dreams but you can enter the dating scene with your mind right instead being in chaos over dating and the choices made when dealing with matters of the heart.4 StarsReviewed for Literary Jewels by Kisha Green[...]

When reading the title of the book I had to see what the author was talking about. I already had my mind made up on what the book was about, it was just another book that was going to talk down on females but I was wrong. The author came at me with explaining how it comes about how men treat women and how we allow them to treat us.Sam Sylk gives different types of ways on how this comes about then explains why and how. The stories allow you to understand his point of views and understanding of how men talk about the decision we make as women. The author made a very valid point, how can we say we want a man to respect us when we don't respect ourselves? If we go around and sleep with every Tom, Jerry and friends and think that men don't talk like women, come on now. The author had me saying so true right on I got you, you on point.I can say I love this book. I have learned a lot from it from a man's point of view. This book had me thinking and what the author was talking about on different occasions that I am so guilty of. I give this book 5 stars.-T.Glover-Walker, Renton,WA

Every woman needs this in her bookshelf!
I began reading this book thinking this was an angry man hating women. So I began reading this with a,prejudice until I throughly read it. The fact is was filled with so much truth that in certain situations I wanted to kick myself because I was one of women he described. Sam back up each I'd his examples with personall experience. It was well written I suggest it for all my sister girls.
