Dielectric grease is non-conductive, what causes corrosion at electrical connections is when miniscule amounts of electricity travels from the connections to ground. Dielectric grease prevents anything conductive, like water from entering the connections. Your battery connections will have good conductivity where the metals touch.

I used this on battery cables to keep them from corroding. Since it is a grease product, it may not be good to use on high temperatures.

If they are in a damp environment, you need to address that first. Don't use this to cover up a bigger problem. This is for Automotive and related batteries.

yes it is, you need to make sure the terminal end of the wire is nice and clean (if the wire terminal is very corroded or burnt replace it with a new one). The alternator ground attach point should be cleaned with a wire brush and fine grit sandpaper. This connection is a critical connection for the charging system and electrical system of the vehicle. Put this Battery Corrosion Preventative over the connection after fully assembled.
