KB Sock Loom Adjustable Wood Knitting Board Kit

I am an experienced loom knitter. I really enjoy this product. It does take a bit of time to get used to the feel and weight of the loom as it is very solid and quite a bit heavier than the plastic looms I am used to. It is very well constructed and very sturdy. It would have a better 'hand feel' if the corners and edges were rounded a bit. Overall it is pleasant to use and I am pleased with the purchase.

I have been knitting all my life as well as crocheting. I understand gauge and socks. This loom makes it impossible to set gauge, making the socks far too dense and making it painfully difficult to lift yarn over pegs as instructed. Also, pegs loosen. Video makes it look like a no brainer.Unless you use 100% elastic you will never get anywhere.. Takes forever and very hard on the hands. Not worth it at all.

I am going to do it. I am going to master the sock loom this year. This kit is great - as a novice, I didn't have to get the package only to discover I needed to buy more stuff before I could use it. And the DVD helps - I can learn at my own speed.

I knit but wanted to try this. First it is very well made. Second it may be just me but the tension is so tight no matter what metod I tried that is is extremely slow and difficult to loop the new yarn over the pegs. I have tried about eight different yarn types and always the same problem. I will likely sell it or give it away. In fairness as stated I may just work with too much tension. Nice product and DVD in case.

This loom is very well made. I sat down and watched the DVD and was "knitting" my socks quickly. I liked the versatility of being able to knit various sock sizes. I would recommend this item to others that have an interest in creating socks on a loom.

My daughter was struggling with her sock knitting but this seems to be just the ticket. She especially likes that it's adjustable. Very solid and pins are in securely. Now if she would just FINISH one of her knitting projects, we'd be all set!

I purchased this loom thinking it would be a simple process for my 11 year old granddaughter, just like spool knitting. However, it is very difficult to use in that the loops keep falling off the spindles and the wood base is quite heavy. There is very little space inside the rectangle so it's difficult to see a dropped stitch. In all, it's a very cumbersome product. A lightweight plastic base might be better, as well as a shorter, wider rectangle. A nice feature is the adjustable sizing, but I doubt if most people would attempt to make more than one item on this product.

I wanted this specifically for the metal pegs but they are plastic. I had one with metal pegs years ago but it has disappeared so I hoped to replace it. No such luck. Also, the DVD was completely absent.
