This is a great quality product and we have used it for years, buying it as boating and camping food due to convenience and flavor. I usually buy at the grocery store where the expiration is two years out which means I can stock up on it and not worry over running out when I need it. I thought it would be the same with this order at same pricing. Not so. The expire date was less than a year, not convenient for stocking up or being able to use when needed because this batch expired before boating season, the primary reason I stock up on it. Because we boat remotely for extended periods I depend on having certain foods on board that take limited space but provide good nutritional value and flavor. So it's back to the grocers for me. In fact i did not reorder and purchased recently at our local grocers because the expiration date was two years out.

This product is advertised as having a 2 year shelf life. I ordered 2 cases for emergencies and such due to it's 2 year shelf life. I placed my order on 13 Jan 2023 two cases (24 pouches), it arrived on 19 Jan 2023. Best Buy Date is April 2023. Can I get a refund or exchange?

The packaging is very robust, which bodes well for shelf stability. These pouch materials are about twice as thick as the packaging of, say, Starkist. Rugged. But easy to open.Inside is a dense mass of shredded brisket. You could probably slide it out like a giant patty but I broke it up easily with a plastic fork.The aroma and flavor are very neutral. Absolutely no off notes. Quality of the meat is there. You can certainly eat it as is but it is bland, rather than trying to dazzle you or mask something. It is a blank beefy canvas for any sauce you might want to squeeze in there. I didn't heat it at all and it was perfectly palatable at room temp.At the price I can't think of anything more I could possibly want from this product. It seems reliable and versatile as a shelf stable food staple, assuming other pouches are the same quality as the one I sampled.

the product description said there were suppose to be a case of 12 packs. all i got instead was a single pack

I ordered one case. I received one pouch. I received the product Jan of 2023, and the best buy date is April 2023. It was made in April of 2021. Buy at your own risk.

Received in November 2022 expiration date 12/22Less than a month. This is an unacceptable practice
