Makes really good coffee! I take it everywhere.
I got one of these on the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago and love it. It finally wore out from daily use so I needed a replacement. It's great for travel and home use and the coffee even has a bit of crema on the top after brewing, similar to espresso. Easy to use and to clean, too.

but I think my points may be useful. I'm a coffee snob
I've never done this before - reviewed something that I decided not to use, but I think my points may be useful.I'm a coffee snob. I have tried multiple units to brew a cup of coffee at the office. The Aeropress, of which the Cafflano Kompact is similar, had a lot of parts. I went to the office break room with a bag of stuff. Not worth the trouble. I thought the Cafflano Kompact might be a better choice. One of the main reasons I didn't even bother to use it were the poor instructions, and the non-existent instructions on Cafflano's website for this unit. You have to go to YouTube to get any information. For a $66 unit that makes one cup of coffee, I find that unacceptable. No recommendations on grind size. And you should give approximate measurements in tablespoons and cups. I'm not hauling a scale to work. After examining the unit, the bellows is what holds the grounds. I couldn't find any information on how easy this would be to clean. It's all plastic and I assume silicone bellows. I'm used to stainless steel or glass, which I prefer. The lack of instructions, the difficulty in finding adequate instructions soured me on even trying this. I used to need to replace the Aeropress once a year due to cracks in the plastic. This would be an expensive unit to replace if the same was true.It isn't ideal, but it's much easier for me to make coffee at home and bring it in a travel mug.. The search continues for an easy way to make good coffee in the office. This unit is just not worth the 66 bucks to me.

Here's a video guide.😊
The media could not be loaded. Â It easily straps to or fits in a backpack.Makes about half a mug or a small mug of coffee. Can use boiling water but be careful. And I only use one scoop of coffee and it's a bit weak but you could use 2 scoops no problem. It's also a really easy device to clean, just rense and put it back in the hard case. No need for filters, it's has a stainless steel one built in. Best mini coffee press iv ever seen!
