One Handed Open & Close Bend the back edge in place to custom fit your bike, activating the patent pending closure system. Simply mount it with the velcro to your handlebars. Now you are ready to ride and feel the freedom of the one handed open and closure of the Slap Bag. Secure place for your PHONE, KEYS, and ENERGY FOOD Once you get one you'll wonder what you did with your phone, food, or keys before you had the Slap Bag. The bag mounts to your handlebar and stem and uses a material much like a slap bracelet to enable it to open and close with ease. No zippers, Velcro or drawstrings will come between you and your food on that next pack ride. Image how many more pictures you will take because you have your phone easily accessible. Think of the extra miles you'll get in each day knowing you have food that you can eat while you ride, straight out of your Slap Bag. Stable & Secure The Slap Bag is water resistant and helps to keep your items safe from the elements while inside. Know they won't go flying out b/c you can easily see if the bag is open or closed. Closed with a simple SLAP and your contents have a great place to enjoy the bike ride, while still being close at hand. The fabric is also stiff so it doesn't flap around in the wind or make noise while you are riding. Road Biking, yes perfect Get that phone out of your sweaty jersey pocket and put it somewhere you can get to it easily. Pack it full of food for your next century ride and stay energized and have fun because you are properly fueled. Born from Mountain Biking This bag is tough and can stand up to the toughest trails. With over 9 years’ gear testing the Slap Bag was built for mountain biking. The inventor had a need and the Slap Bag was the answer. Ride Free When you love to get off your feet and on two wheels we most often have our phone and food or money with us. Get those things out of your pockets and into a Slap Bag and enjoy the Ride Free mentality. Our mission is to help your next ride be more enjoyable by offering a convenience product that takes the 'stuff' and puts it where its easy to reach but out of the way. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Little Accessory Pouch How did you come up with the idea for this product? I was a sponsored Adventure Racing athlete competing in multi-day races all over the US and Internationally. I needed a clever way to eat my favorite snack, Goldfish, while I biked. I would clip my zip lock bags of yummy Goldfish to my bike and I could eat while I rode...well kind of. This is where my prototype #1 fell short of the Slap Bag. You see, as I biked up and over mountains, bouncing over rocks and trees, my poor little Goldfish would often jettison themselves out of the open zip lock out onto the trail, leaving a ‘breadcrumb’ path of Goldfish making it easy for other teams to follow us, not to mention littering my precious calories all over the trails. I knew I needed to be able to close the bag quickly, with one hand. No Velcro, no magnets, something simple and QUICK. Then I thought of the slap bracelets we enjoyed as kids and from that simple idea came the Slap Bag. The Slap Bag became my place for food so I could eat while doing long bike races and not get off my bike. All other options forced me to stop and use two hands or I had to leave it open and run the risk of my food falling out during technical sections. Beyond food, I now always put my cell phone in my Slap Bag which makes it easily accessible if I get a call, want to take a photo, or I'm simply tracking my ride. I'm not pulling my phone, dripping with sweat, from my back jersey pocket anymore. What makes your product special? The patent pending closure system is the most special part about the Slap Bag. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Seeing my 3 year old son ride his Strider bike with his Slap Bag, telling me "Daddy, I put my Thomas Trains in my Slap Bag". It's been a real thrill seeing how the Slap Bag has made his bike something he can personalize.

Both of those things really bug me so this is actually great. At $19
It could be a five as this does everything that it says it will and is designed very well. It's just a bit pricey for what amounts to a small stuff sack with a special top and velcro straps. If eating out of your jersey pocket bothers you and trying to unwrap things while you are riding this will definitely solve your problem. Both of those things really bug me so this is actually great. At $19.99 I would recommend that everyone try it.

Very handy!
Great product! Keeps snacks, keys, phone, or water bottle handy; I use two on my bikepacking rig, and have purchased a total of four.

Not worth the $$
Too small for my iPhone and doesn't close that well with other things in it.

Product tester turned customer.
I am also a proud recipient of a prototype SLAP Bag. While I may not be as avid a rider as Chris or the other testers, I have been able to experience the utility and convenience of the SLAP Bag. It makes accessing my things extremely convenient so I can try to keep up with the other riders in my group. Seat bags and panniers are great for items that I need to take for emergencies, repairs or other stops, but the SLAP bag is able to hold things I need to access for a second or two as I ride, without having to stop or wrestle with Zippers or Velcro. As I am a tester, I found that the only bag I had would go missing between my rides, only to be found on my son's bike. He is now the proud owner of his own, and to prevent squabbles I have purchased a grand total of 4 for my entire family.

Slap Bag is user-friendly and great for all types of cycling
Slap Bag shaves time and removes annoyance from having to rummage around for devices or keys. In addition to mountain biking, I take the Slap Bag on my commuter bike everywhere I go. The convenience of having my keys, key card, and wallet on hand (and knowing they won’t bounce out somewhere along a bike path) cannot be overstated. No longer do I have to stop at my office door, take off my back pack, and search for my key card, or repeat the process when I need to lock up my bike.Slap Bag is user-friendly and great for all types of cycling. It is my favorite cycling accessory of the year!

Excellent bike accessory
I used a prototype in the 2014 Cape Epic mountain bike stage race (8 days of mountain bike racing in S. Africa) and the Slap Bag worked great. I'd stuff it with snacks at the aid stations which made it so much easier to keep "grazing" so that I wouldn't fall behind on calorie intake during the 6-9 hour days in the saddle. And yes, I have crashed with it on the bike and nothing fell out.

The PERFECT bike accessory!
I was the proud recipient of a prototype back in 2008 and have used it religiously since then. Long road bike rides, 3-4 hour mountain bike rides and 12-24 hour adventure races. Never once did I lose food out of the top and the bag never got in my way! I can't wait to get my new shipment so I can outfit all of the other bikes in our family!
