I needed a switch to run holiday lights and decorations that can't be dimmed. This is simple on & off. And, with my Google hub, can come on at dusk. When ever that is, as apposed to a set time.

There are times when I'm expecting a delivery and forget to turn the porch light on. I can use my Gosund app or tell Alexa to turn on the porch light on. I use it to turn on my ceiling fan or turn on or off a light in another room.

Syncs easily with Wi-Fi, and is quite reliable.

Easy to install and connect.Do not recommend for a double + gang box unless replacing ALL switches as these mount out farther than traditional switches causing a gap in the wall plate on this switches side.Single install, single box, using supplied cover, no issues.

TL;DR - Works great w/ Alexa, just make sure you know how to install (and have neutral wire) or get better instructions, the provided ones are poorly written.This smart switch works great, both by hand and using Alexa. So far, the only issue I came across was in following the instructions for installation, which seem written by a non-English native person.In general it’s best to use these only if you know a bit about electrical wiring. But if you know what you’re doing, and have the required neutral wire, then you will have no problem setting up.I would suggest finding general instructions or more thorough instructions from a similar switch, like WeMo’s. That will more clearly explain the setup process.As for getting it set up with Alexa, I had little issue, although as with many such smart devices it wants you to have an account with them to get up and running. But the info required to establish your account is minimal.Just learn and know what you’re doing before setup, and these are perfectly fine choices, especially on a budget. Review will update if problems arise in the first month or two.

If this is to work an outlet, be sure it's GFCI. Otherwise the switch will burn out before the breaker trips.

Easy to install and works well.

If you want tech support buy Lutron. This is basically a disposable switch that is not supported. They have a tech support number but nobody answers. Lutron is staffed by caring technicians that will bend over backwards to help. You decide… take a chance with low cost stuff that usually works or get the best at a price with excellent support to insure that you have a working product for many years to come.
