QI: The Third Book of General Ignorance: Qi: Quite Interesting (Qi: Book of General Ignorance 3)

I purchased the kindle version of theis book, with my unlimited account. The book is full of facts that were used in the QI program. However, in the book, it goes into more detail about each interesting fact. At times, I felt that the depth of detail, was a little too deep and went on too long, to fill out a third book of QI.If there is a fourth, yes, I would get it, in the hope that it is more like the program, and more lighthearted. this feels more like a downgraded encyclopedia.

Good book, my first review was stricken as apparently I said something against amazon guidelines! No swearing, no profanity but i used the word elves so perhaps I am anti elvist??

Bought as a gift and very pleased with it - it's an good mix of general knowledge from the TV show and more.Easy to dip into and very entertaining, it covers the usual highbrow areas of classical music, literature and so on but also fetches it into the mainstream with current and recent events and social commentary. It's not got massive breadth with less than 200 facts, and then some of these are already well known from the TV and other sources but it's still well done and entertaining which is what it's setting out to doRecommended

We love this and are now exceedingly knowledgeable about everything!Excellent gift for friends and family who love facts.

Great for passing time and interesting you learn lots of fun facts I've got on Kindle so when I'm waiting for an appointment I just have a read and it's just great for that and you learn things too

Rather like a book of 'fascinating facts' for those who were not generally ignorant about the contents. Some interesting stuff. You read it and think to yourself that you will remember some of the information but by the time you have turned the page a few times, you forget what youve actually read. A good book and an enjoyable poolside read.Same as all the other Qi books of General Ignorance.

Excellent book filled with quite interesting facts and a good read at bedtime . Comments by the celebrities add to its charm.

If this book was actually longer then it would be a five star review because it's entertaining, informative and fun. But, about the 75% mark it ends. The remaining 25% is bumph - basically references and the legal stuff. And even if it was the full length it would still be too short.And because of that it's poor value for money. This is especially so because all of the leg work has been completed for the TV show which, this follows so there is very little additional work that has to be done for this book. There are other general knowledge books out there which are just as entertaining, far longer with more depth and written with the same standard of verve and humour.Overall a great book spoiled by being far too short for the money.
