The media could not be loaded. When I got it it came with everything it said it was supposed to have and it came with a copper pipe to make the slobber pot into a thumper I just had to bend in the copper pipe a bit to get it to fit and then hammered it in and it has worked great for me so far. I haven’t had any problems with the seals I have done about 10-15 long runs and haven’t had any issues with them I had heard of people having issues with them but I haven’t yet. I did upgrade the condenser coil to a bigger one I just got some refrigerant line and took the hardware off of the condenser coil that it came with and put it onto a Home Depot bucket which was not hard to do at all I just need a pipe cutter and pipe flare device and then I was able to put it together. I made a bigger condenser coil cause I was having issues with the one it came with heating up the water to quickly but building a bigger one solved that issue. The water pump it came with works great. The setup was super easy and straight forward as long as you have some know how. I have heard of peoples thermometer on the pot steaming up and breaking I haven’t had any issues with mine it has worked great and has read the correct temps. Overall great product especially for the price hands down would recommend especially for beginners it also comes with a booklet with mash recipes which is cool tho I lost it so I can tell you if they are good or what not but everything has been working great and I have been having a blast with it.

Excellent product

Everything was packed well. I actually thought it was the wrong size because the box was smaller than I expected. It also arrived 3 days early! When I unpacked it, I was happy to see how all the parts nested inside the biggest pot which will be great for storage. I did a dry fit of 2 separate configurations to make sure I had all the parts and check the fit. It went together with minimal effort which is nice. I will run the vinegar/water run soon and then I can check for leaks. I purchased it during Prime Days for a great price and from what I see so far it is well worth the money.Concerns: The reasons I gave it 4 starsThe assembly instructions are somewhat lacking, and the 2 flexible lines have me concerned about cleaning and longevity. The inside wall is not smooth and they are thin. We bought ours to make oils. What we don’t want to happen is that over time residue builds up in the tiny crevices of these flexible lines. We may change these lines to copper or stainless steel tubing to eliminate even that possibility. They are also thin which does help with flexibility. However, changing the shape of them several times for a different configuration or storage could cause them to crack or break prematurely. If they can be left in the shape you need then this may not be a problem. As with the cleaning concerns, changing these to copper or stainless steel tubing is an option. It is important to note that any of these changes could effect the fit of the gaskets so they may need changed as well.The instructions do contain a good bit of information but there are some issues. The pictures are dull and really hard to see any details. The parts are not labeled in a way that says something like connect part A to part B so seeing the details of the picture is important for at least initial assembly. The written instructions are very simple and if someone is attempting assembly that relies heavily on following instructions, I fear that they could become quite frustrated. One thing I did was to look at the pictures on the listing for mine as they are pretty detailed and good quality. It also appears that the instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English. While this has no effect on the product, or makes whoever authored the instructions any less valuable, it is sometimes easier to know what to expect if you purchase this product in any size. Even programs that translate from one language to another as you type can cause these same issues with the translation.

Works to both ferment and then later distill. This is a great starter kit. After your first batch you'll do good to purchase tools to measure sugar and alcohol content.I never experienced any problems with leaky seals once I stopped being lazy and used a wrench. I've made about 6 batches so far, friends are impressed and love it. Pump is a little strong but if you're doing this outside then it's not a big deal. After 1 or two batches I haven't used the thumper again, not really a good size for a thumper. Thermometer might be a bit off, but it's consistent which is the most important thing.What I didn't realize before I bought this was how long it takes! If you're just using bread yeast it might take 3 weeks to ferment and then 6 hours to distill, but getting 8 quarts out each run (4 of which are good enough quality to drink, the other 4 you put in the next batch) makes it worth it. I'll get the first quart at 140+ proof and stop around the 8th quart which is usually down to 40 proof.Very happy with my purchase, haven't bought liquor from the store since. The sky's the limit with this and if you're intrigued by the idea (or want to save money) this could do it for you. Highly recommend for a tinker or foodie. I've been having fun with infusions such as peach, charred oak, and ginger and fermented products from my house such as tomatoes, prickly pear, apples, potatoes.

Good value for money works perfect

The media could not be loaded. I think this has been refined since some of the earlier reviews. Everything was included that you need even a basic recipe book. Every fitting was either flared with needs to be tightened with wrenches or had a rubber seal that needs to be slightly tightened once snug. Everything sealed perfectly except the drain from the condensing pot. This had a slight seap which I just let go. This connection were the copper coil meets the pot should have a nut on both sides. Not rely on the flare nut to compress against the stainless pot. If you put something behind it like a gasket then the flare won’t seal correctly and you’ll risk getting water in the product.I was very happy with the product and the price. You couldn’t think of building this yourself for this value.

Eso sí, me pidieron el Asin, y todos mis datos y los del pedido, aunque yo ya se los había indicado en mi consulta.La segunda vez, fue para indicarles que a la cuarta vez de utilizarla en mi placa de inducción, la base se hinchó y curvó, y la placa dejó de reconocerla. Despues de varios dias y de mandar fotos, echan la culpa a mi placa, que sigue funcionando con normalidad con el resto de mis tarteras y sartenes.Compré dos. Una para mi, otra para regalar, y la otra la utilizan en fuego de gas sin problema.Tendré que comprarme un hornillo a gas para seguir utilizándola, lo que considero un gasto a mayores, y no fué barata.
