EBBQ Baracuta #115XT Hunter Blade - 5 Pack

I like this knife blade size for general food processing, works well for chicken, turkeys and roast beef. I also use this knife blade size and style while camping, this blade style and the Havalon knife handle has replaced my two pound Bark River camp knife. The Baracuta is nowhere near as pretty as the stag handle bark river knife but the blade performs 100 x better at food processing then any fixed blade knife that I have ever used. I would not build a shelter with the Havalon or do any other heavy taskes but for certain dedicated tasks like food prep and game harvesting there is no knife that works as well as a Havalon IMHO.

I carry a Havalon knife for the sharpness of the blade and the fact that I can easily swap blades in the field. I purchased a pack of these blades and put them in my pack for DIY high country mule deer hunt in Utah. All the other reviews are positive and I failed to inspect the sharpness of my blades before packing. The blades I received were not sharp and I was extremely dissatisfied to find out at 9500 ft with no other skinning knives in my pack. They got the job done but was aggravating and time consuming. I would recommend checking the sharpness of your blades upon receipt.

I elk hunt every year in New Mexico. For year I used a typical skinning knife. My guide started using a replaceable blade on his new skinning knife. I bought mine several years ago. I can usually skin 2 Elk before I will change the blade.

Great sharp blades that fit really tight on my knife.

These are awesome blades. They are Extremely sharp. Will be buying more.

Great havalon blade

Theses are large scalpel blades, treat them as such. Very sharp and much better than the fillet blades for breaking down animals. Some have said that these can be resharpened, but that will delete the function of the knife. Although at the price, might be a good idea. I have this knife as well as the gerber one that takes standard blades, best knives out there!!

I gave a bad review months earlier but the product is exactly as described when I took my old blades out finally. Sorry for the mental fart on my part. I would highly recommend this product and company.
