SamuraiICHIBAN GC-180-LH (18cm) Curved Hand Saw + Carrying Case

I would not use this routinely for branches under 1/2" as it is a very coarse toothed saw. It is extremely sharp and the ergonomics/ weight and balance (due to the slightly curved blade) are spot on for this size medium womens gloved woman. It will float thru an oak branch 11/2" in very few strokes. Sheath works well, nice the saw can detach without unthreading the whole saw from the belt. Bright handle makes it easy to find in the leaves or brush pile.

Blade cuts well and handle is made to fit the hand. Sheath has a couple of ways for carry but I just put it a cargo pocket. i haven't put it on my belt. It's NOT LARGE. Read the dimensions. It is for cutting branches about the size of an average wrist (7-8" dia). While the blade is sharp (as has stayed that way), you won't be cutting trees down with it. It fits my needs perfectly.

I volunteer to remove invasive trees from public parks. This saw cuts through buckthorn like butter; I have several types of saws, including British, and this is the best. Stays sharp, easy to clean off sap and sawdust. I prefer the hanging sheath to the folding type of saw that gums up the track with sap. For safety (and keeping track of tools) the sheath at my waist guards these razor sharp edges between cuts.

gorgeous saw. I took utt out and ut is over performing from day 1! Great for 2 inch plus branches that cannot be snapped with loppers. Keep this in my hand bag as I work with hand pruners & loppers I can witch to this saw for heavy duty 2 inch plus cutting. It also comes with a plastic holder that is awesome.

This is the best hand saw I have used. Way better than other Japanese brands. Stays sharp for ever!

The handle design on this saw is a 10/10. You won’t find a saw this good in a big box store. Highly recommend this awesome handsaw.
