LOL the fastener heads and the claim to 8awg is meant as 6.7mm which is the diff of the jacket fitting in being metric vs 8awg jacket a little too big. Tis cracks me up even wiring now we have metric / American conversions problems. folks.... this block is not meant to be used cleanly with jl audio, monster cable, street wirez. these blocks are meant for brand like Scosche which is all in mm. the 6.7mm & 8.6mm both slide right in with the jacket on. hope this helps. what's funny is decades apart nasa and other country collaborations had missions fail going to the moon and mars both on mis-calculations of metric & imperial conversions. Now people are trying to slide a 4awg into a 8.6mm hole AHAHAHAHHAAH

I'm using these as distribution blocks for a car stereo. I like that they're compact unlike many other blocks. My only complaints are that the 4 awg set screw can go all the way past the threads if you screw them down on something less than the larger awg wire, and that the cover is difficult to remove. But size and price still make this a winner.

more than one time use is a far shot as mine cross threaded on three of the four small lockdown screws , works fine for one use more than one just buy another , could use thicker plastic on mounting surface .
