Most Adorable story
Morgan, 15 year old living with her family on a small island on the coast of canada and happens to meet a mysterious selkie named Keltie. At first, Morgan is annoyed by Keltie, but as they spend more time together, she realizes her feelings may be stronger than she anticipated.(Selkie meaning (wiki): In short, the legend of the selkie is Ireland's concept of a mermaid. The selkie – also called the seal people, the sea people or the mermaid – is a marine legend that tells of people who are half fish, and half human. In the water, they are seals, but on land, they shed their skin and take on human form)This is soo adorable and sweet graphic novel, loved the characters and suspense at the end.

Such a good young adult graphic novel! Love the artwork.
June Pride Month, 2021 🏳️🌈A young adult, LGBTQIAP graphic novel. Yes, please!Let's talk about the graphic novel more. I love the artstyle so much. It's realistic yet Pixel perfect.I like how approachable the characters are as soon as I met them. They're lonely and confused. They want to run away. They want to be alone. Yet they need someone to comfort them.Morgan comes from a broken family and she's struggling through her teenage life everyday trying to have a normal day at home, go through highschool, stick with her group of friends and avoid her brother as much as she can. And then there's Keltie who Morgan believes comes from her dreams. Well.... there's the magic. You know what? Keltie reminds me so much of Dante and Morgan of Aristotle from Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.Their chemistry is amazing. I love them together! It's so cute. I just wish Morgan was more understanding and outspoken but well then we all struggle with it too and so I can totally understand.Keltie's the girl from the sea and that makes everything so interesting.Morgan's inevitable urge to please people hurts Keltie. This trait is so common in all of us that it basically hurt me too while reading this graphic novel.I am okay with the adult characters for being accepting and supportive. But I wish it was better than this. It's okay as long as it's convincing and realistic when it comes to such important themes to discuss. The thing is that they needed to be present more in the story.Wish someone made a funky, beautiful dress like that for me. It's just my thing. Lucky you, Keltie. But then, Keltie's on a mission. And the ending hurt me. I wish it ended better. But then again, the plot lived up to what it planned.I will be looking forward to a sequel. There has to be. Right? With an ending like that.

A Captivating Dive into Imagination
"The Girl from the Sea" graphic novel is a mesmerizing journey through stunning visuals and a compelling narrative. The sea-themed tale immerses readers in a world of wonder. Each page is a work of art, and the story's depth resonates long after the last page is turned. A true graphic masterpiece.Perfect read for my 11 year-old.

Beautiful, Sweet Story
I bought this for my middle school daughter for Christmas and read it before I wrapped it. There need to be more stories like this for kiddos to read who want to know that there are people like them out there. It mixes a sweet coming of age lesbian story with fantasy (a selkie, yay!) and it deals with two facets of LGBTQ coming of age: one girl is afraid of what may happen to her relationships when she comes out and the other girl is perplexed that anyone would worry about sharing truth about who they are. The art is sweet: the selkie girl is chunky, the human girl is of Asian background and both are beautiful. I love the inclusivity and the unapologetic inclusion of cartoon girls kissing. Lovely artwork with human selkies having a slight seal appearance. Bravo and I hope the author creates many more.

lindo!!!!

The Story of this book is absolutely Adorable, I Loved the way Morgan and Keltie are different yet still compatible, My only critique is that I Didnt like the ending, as I spent the whole read rooting for them to stay together forever, But thats just my personal Opinion overall a 10/10 book.
