Great, just Great!
Such a great series I've been binge reading each book as fast as I can download it. Love the characters, the story line, and the historical factoids thrown in about the Rangers! My only negative impressions are: 1) When giving back notes on the characters, the author is just reprinting the same paragraphs used in prior books. After reading the exact same wording over several books, it kinda throws the fluidity of the current story line off track and fails to further our knowledge of the character being described. 2) I find it appalling that Paz is always called on without hesitation and/or shows up on his own to save the day, but no one seems to care much about him or his welfare before, during or after the action. I understand he's supposed to remain a bit of a mystery and often chooses to disappears after the action is over, but come on! After he saves you and everyone else by putting himself in a major life threatening position, you shouldn't just go on with the next phase of the story like he's of no importance. That being said, over all these stories are exceptional and I highly recommend them. I'll be downloading the next book of the series as soon as I hit "send" on these comments

Texan vs Texan vs Russians in a tale of agroterrorism that might just give you nightmares or at the very least the heebie-jeebie
Texas Rangers, agroterrorism, gun fighting in an immersive 3D video game, Russians, and a psychic are just some of the headlines for this tale. The latest Caitlin Strong offering can't be summed up in one word but one for sure is unforgettable. For some it may even cause that terrible feeling of your skin crawling and for others may be the source of nightmares. There's an invasion coming and it isn't of the British kind. America is about to face a dual invasion and one is already in Texas, unseen, unheard, and for any rational person unbelievable, that is until you see it for yourself. It's a masterful twisting of plots that link seemingly unrelated events into spokes of a turning wheel of death and destruction.Caitlin shows up at a standoff between the poster boy for free land backed by armed militias and the local Texas sheriff’s office. In usual Texas Ranger fashion, Caitlin is the last person anyone wants to see, not the aforementioned rancher, not the local police, and definitely not the Texas Senator who not only loves the camera but also would like nothing better than to take this particular Texas Ranger down. The standoff is reminiscent of the Waco siege and Caitlin's likely to be the gas to light the fire but that's the least of her worries as her goal is singular in nature and never one to worry about anything other than doing her duty, she's sure to make a lasting impression.I could go on and on about the characters and the plot but the facts is, it would take up a couple pages. Suffice to say that it has so many arcs that on their own seem like unrelated occurrences but as the story unfolds that assumption couldn't be more wrong. Fans will finally get answers to questions about the history of the Strong’s’ and the Masters and trust me, you're never going to see what's coming and on that alone I have to say if you’re a fan of the series then you must get this book. For the rest of you just be comforted in the fact that you're about to enjoy a tale of a strong female character who's morals, beliefs, and actions are as old school as the Texas Rangers themselves. Oh, and let's not forget that she has a gun and a badge and she's not averse to using either and in this tale, she does often with deadly consequences.
