This Scotch Kale was a great addition to the bucket garden. Has great flavor and crispness to it. Good in salads and other things. I live in Mass. , it's Nov. 4 and I'm still getting leaves from it. P.S. Frost hasn't got to it yet. It's in bucket approx. 3'off the ground.

I plant this every year and love it, but this year, I tried getting the seeds from you, but nothing every came up. I am very disapointed!

These germinated quickly and seemed to be doing well, but I ended up putting them into my hydroponic system where they were good for a bit, then started to shrivel up and die. Not sure why! Maybe it doesn't like the mid 70's temperature! (doubt it)Everything else growing in the hydro system is doing really well. We have large heads of romaine, strawberries, arugula, thai basil, and other types of Kale. All doing well. This kale however didn't make it!Maybe it would do better in soil and in a colder climate, but there's no way I can grow this in the heat of Vegas outside.

These arrived a little late for planting this season in my zone of 7a. These are some nice cold resistant greens and do well in early Spring and late Fall, but it is already too warm for me to plant them because they just don’t like hot summer as much and can easily bolt in the heat. I intend to plant them in the Fall for my annual winter garden. Because of how the leaves curl on this variety, they need good airflow and need to be spaced apart at least 2-feet from each other.This variety does well in a covered winter garden, providing greens all through the winter months, and I am glad that the provided seeds are Non-GMO and grown in the USA. I plant a winter garden every year, and this last winter I planted five different varieties of Kale, all of which did well and from which I am still picking greens into mid-April.I am glad to see that the packaging has a Planting Season date, as a lot of other companies are forgoing that lately, and with those not properly marked it can be difficult to tell how old the seeds might be.I am hopeful that these will germinate without issue, and once I have seen if they grow properly, I will make an update to this review.

It's a large plastic bag with few seeds. Definitely not 'premium packaging' as all other seeds I bought are kinda in similar packaging. My planting kinda failed, maybe it's not the right season! After I checked the package it says 60-70F only, but when I planted it's over 80..Also it's only good for 2023 planting season. A lesson for planting newby.

These came perfectly packaged and will go perfectly in my seed library since they're heirloom seeds.
