I went by the raving reviews and was super disappointed. I charged it for about 2 hours and put it on kitchen floor . My cat got all poofy immediately. So maybe it’s a natural instinct with snakes to be afraid . It’s also concerning that it’s markings of a poisonous one too. She did not want to play with it . She just kept her distance and looked at me like she didn’t understand.The snake was all over the place . It always got caught up on the slightest edge of a rug or carpet. You have to stand by to keep relocating it . I’m giving it to a friend who has a cat and maybe they will have a better experience . They have all wood floors and not many rugs. It was the most irritating cat toy I have ever purchased .Update 2/14/22My friends cat had same response. I had to bring it home .I’m an entrepreneur and don’t give up easy. I snapped the long portion off so it’s just the head and charge portion . I carefully placed some white duct tape on it and fashioned a tail. I also rubbed some catnip. That did the trick . It appears more mouse like now . She’s losing her mind and chasing it all over the kitchen. When it gets caught on a rug she bats it off. Now I just sit and watch.Manufacturer should let their R&D know of these issues. You would sell more if it was white and was mouse like. The eyes look like the red laser we play with too so it keeps her attention. You’re welcome.

The snek doesn't snek.In all seriousness, it is a super cute toy. The danger noodle itself is really neat and the detailing on the body and the eyes are nice.The downside: like many reviews here, snek died a peaceful death 5 minutes after he was fully charged and in play. He just died. His wee beady eyes would light up and that's it. He will be returned. Bummer.1. Snek takes 40 min to charge fully for about 10 min or less of play.2. Decent quality for what it is although as it turns out my cats prefer the box.3. Spicy land stick will not operate on carpet or any floor obstruction including fine hairs.Skip this toy.

So I bought this because my younger cat won't live my aunt's older cat alone. The younger of the two loves to play and sometimes a little rough (I think she likes being beat up). It provided a great distraction, but not for the cat that I thought it would. The younger of the two was actually spooked by this toy but the eldest cat was quiet curious.Some things to mention. Someone in a previous review said it was colored like a poisonous snake, it's not. It colored like a fat king snake (red touch black friend of jack. Red touch yellow kill a fellow).I definitely recommend sweeping or vacuuming before putting the toy down as the wheels pick up hair faster than a lint roller.For all of the reviews saying the battery dies super quickly: maybe they fixed it maybe they're confusing the "rest mode" for it being off but I've had mine on for 3 days only relying on the motion activation for it to be in use and it's still fine.It is a little noisy which I think deters some cats. It's not as noisy as the flopping fish toy though. So if your cats liked that toy they'll like this.My favorite part it when it launches itself backwards when you go to pick it up sometimes.Honestly for the price it's exactly what it says that it is.

Was eager for this to arrive but it is not strong enough to work on my area rug and it got stuck numerous times. Pretty noisy but not too big of a deal. If I had zero rugs anywhere I would’ve possibly considered keeping this.

This is easy to assemble, easy to charge and my cats are enthralled with it. The automatic cut off and automatic reverse are great - I am not having constantly to retrieve it from being stuck, like some other automated toys.
