Bought 4 months ago. Cat absolutely LOVES it but now it makes a really loud humming noise when you switch it to the moving laser. Only 4 months old.

Battery does not last long and does not work while charging so you can not just leave on charger

I wish i could combine this with other laser robots that have better and more frequent action . The cats are bored / not very interested as there is no variation to the movement. Love that it charges by usb. I can leave it in all night and it doesn’t die, but i would prefer if it went on every 90 minutes instead of every 180 minutes and it needs more variation than just running in a circle.

It works pretty well, but the pattern and speed aren't ideal -- I suspect it works best if you have a fairly large, open space -- we lack that, so the dot goes where the cat can't each. She will play with it for awhile, but loses interest too quickly. (Whereas a hand-held laser point keeps her attention!) I bought a different cat toy like this first, and the design of it made it very unstable. This one is stable, and not likely to get knocked over by a cat.

Our senior doxie is obsessed with laser pointers. It's the only way she'll play so we treated her to this automatic toy. Works well especially for the price but doesn't stay on as long as she'd like. It has an auto feature where it will go off and come back on every few minutes but the time it is off is also too long for her. She's a hard customer to please. So far, the battery charge lasts a long time. We charge it every night and have yet to witness it die while in use.

The first night I thought this was going to be a fail for my Lucy. She jumps out her own skin if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.After charging this all day, I turn it on. The lazer is bright red compared to your normal handheld one. Also it's fast. She ran for the hills. I called up the mountainside for her and was able to climb down. She was so brave.I sat at the bottom of mountain with her old lazer light and new lazer light in manual mode for about 20 minutes to show her they are the same and it's the new one is more fun!SUCCESS!!Now she wants this on every time it shut's off on it's own. She goes up to and start meowing at it. She doesn't chase it all the time but she is getting more exercise than she was before.My only complaint is I wish the lazer had a slower mode. The slowest mode is still pretty fast for this adult cat.

A single charge lasts a few days. It comes on automatically every hour for 10 minutes. It has 2 useful settings for the laser, far and near. The only con is that it falls over alot but this is remedied by velcro tape. I'm satisfied with this product.

Laser shines forward, so unless you have a blank spot on your wall, very hard to use and get cat to interact with it. If they make a mount for this, or come up with a way to have the device point down, then that would greatly improve the performance.
