Good quality - minimal instructions
Before & After pictures attached (cord is clear).Directions were simple - like IKEA simple, without the smilie faces. Now that I built it, it’s a simple connect the dots kind of system that can work in many different styles of lamps / lamp makeovers. I watched a few DIY videos and was able to get it together fairly easily, in 20 min? Would buy it again for quality and 3-level dimmable type option.

Used this to restore a lamp my mother made when she was in high school
My daughter is in 4-H and does electric as one of her projects. This year we decided to restore an old lamp my mother made when she was in 4-H nearly 60 years ago. This is a complete kit with one exception, there was no bushing in the kit that fit the end of the threaded rod. So you have to buy one somewhere else. (It's not safe to have a wire running across bare metal.) I'm taking off 1 star because that is a safety hazard. The black chrome finish is a great look with the dark wood of the lamp.

Need an electrician to understand instructions
This was not very easy to use. I tried following the instructions and could not get it to work. I had to get my grandfather to put it together and he did it with his electrician knowledge— not the instructions. The rods are way too long for anyone to actually use, we had to cut it in half for it to be Usable.

Good Quality for Making Your Own Lamp
This is exactly what I was looking for to make our own lamp. It was easy to put together and it is high quality, just like any of the ones we saw in the store but for a little bit less. It was nice to have it in silver (couldn't find it in the stores around here). Perfect for our new duck lamp.

Worked great
Worked great for the Live Oak lamp I turned from a piece of firewood. The 12" long 1/8" IP threaded lamp pipes were slightly bowed, presumably during shipping, which the only thing that really created problems in install. Since it was a fairly tight fit in the 3/8" hole I bored all the way through the lamp, I ended up loading it into my cordless drill chuck and let the drill thread it through for me. Worked like a charm! The bolt on the top of the harp was a little off-kilter, but I managed to get it bent enough for the shade to sit straight. 3-way socket works perfectly. And I have the extra 12" threaded pipe to make a second with.
