My son collects these and sits for ages putting them together.

The media could not be loaded. A new wave of add-ons for the Lego Super Mario range. They are still pushing that you use your app to get the build instructions which drives me demented, I much prefer a physical book to build from instead of having to work from a screen. However, you don't need to fire the app up to build, the build instructions are available in free pdf format on their website. This is my preferred manner of getting them and building.That said you will need the app as your Mario figure is going to need an update so it recognises the code tiles in this set. The Mario figure does NOT come with the set and you will need to purchase that separately if you want to use Mario with this Beachfront set. Although, it is a cute little display set on it's own and one of the beauties of these Super Mario sets is that they are endlessly customisable as everything is built on it's own base that you can then link together with flat plates in whatever order you like.The build of this is really straightforward and includes some fun play effects. The tiny sandcastle is my favourite as you use the shovel to push the sides down and reveal the hidden block. The plam tree has a block hanging from it like a coconut that you need to tip the tree to get at. Fire the koopa sheel at Huck-It Crab and you immediately immobilise him for that all important access to the palm tree - don't forget to stomp him to grab some coins. Even better Dorrie is rideable which made my day when I built this set. The watersplash pieces are a new mould to me and really work well and give a great aesthetic look to the finished set.I did video a messy run through of how the set works and that gives a better feel of what to expect from the set.Many thanks to the Amazon Vine Program for a review copy of this product. Dream match up then...This is the Lego Super Mario Dorties Beacfront Expansion Set with Dorrie and Huckit Crab Figures, 229 Pieces.Smart Device IS required to build.It's Lego Super Mario Time!This set will only benefit you if you have either the Mario or Luigi Starter Course, as you will need one of the figures to use to build up coins and avoid the pitfalls of any Mario adventure.In this set you get the Beachfront expansion set for the Super Mario World part of the course. You get 2 figures that try to hinder Mario or Luigi on their toes. You can get coins from the Beachfront course from the coral,Dorrie, boot the crab or uncover the hidden boxes, ride on Dorrie to discover more but watch out for the pesky Huckit Crab! Once you reach the final post your coin count will show.This set is easier to build than others, but you will require the App, so Smart Device is required, it is quite small in size compared to the other sets (229 pieces) and the price reflects that. But fun none the less, and we all love Mario, the memories of Super Mario on the Nintendo 64.Overall I'd recommend this set as a bolt on to other parts, as this will be a welcome addition.

this is the dorrie’s beachfront expansion set for the lego super mario series, this set features dorrie, the sea dragon, or sea monster? that appeared in a few mario game series, it mainly for helping mario transport through the waterin this game there is no dedicated route or track for dorrie to move, but mario or luigi could ride on its back and travel to all missionsthis is a rather small expansion set, pretty much around the size of the starter kit, there are 4 mini games/missions, they are sand castle, coral fountain, coconut treeparticularly i like the green shell shooting mission most, mario jump to the trigger and it shoot the green shell to knock down huckit crab, so mario could get the coinoverall the set is easy and fast to build, you will enjoy it if you like dorrie of course, but in the green shell shooting mission you can place whatever enemy (from any expansion set) you want to shoot, actually quite funny, i’m happy with it

This is a fun Dorrie beach expansion from Mario Lego (you will need the Mario or Luigi set to play with this as it is an expansion) You will also need the Mario App as the building instructions are all online on the app. You can either have the instructions plus version which are available in the Mario App, or download the PDF version from the Lego Instructions App if you don't like the step by step version. Your Mario/Luigi will also need to be updated via the app to recognise the new tiles that this set comes with.Our favourite bits would have to be the hidden block which Dorrie pings open using the leaver along with the wobbly tree which pops out a block. Some very cute characters and loads of customisation being able to set the corse up as you wish. Another good hit from Lego and Mario!

A great fun and enjoyable twist on Lego. You have to buy the base pack with the Mario in it for this to work. THIS IS AN EXPANSION PACKYou could buy it as a decoration if you didn't want to get the base pack.

The price for this one set is good for all that comes, but the real cost is cumulative as more sets are needed - especially the Starter Pack (which I think is the only way to obtain the Marion figure).Allied to the computer game - enables replay of the assignments. My g-son watches recordings on YouTube so he understands a bit, while not actually playing the big games.Lego is so durable it will last for years and can be passed on.E-manuals (in case losing the paper one for a future rebuild) are currently available as free downloads from the Lego website under Support. A wise precaution to do it immediately as eventually they remove.
