Cannot connect to wi-fi network
The design of the device look nice but the software have problem. When the device turn on, it right away guide me to the wifi connection screen. I entered the network ID and the password but it keep telling me retyping my password or resetting the router, of course, I double checked everything I've entered(please see the picture). I try about 30 times and still not work. I got stuck here forever. My router is dual band 2.4 and 5Ghz which will virtually connect to any device that use 2.4 or 5Ghz. In this case is 2.4Ghz. I have to return it even though I love the design.

Not a proven design
It worked for a few hours . After it said update available and I took the update it would no longer power up past the welcome screen. I had to return the item, I will watch the feedback to decide to order again.

Not worth the money and don't last
These tend to go bad after a year and can be tricky to get set up properly. I wouldn't use this product ever again in my home

Great looks, but sadly fundamental issues...
I really like the looks and design of the unit and the user interface. HOWEVER day to day usefulness it very tricky. Have been using 3 of them for over a year now.I'd give 5 STARS to the designer - the unit is beautiful, the app graphics as well. The behind the scenes is not that great... No local processing (internet required even for local loads), on/off lag and the randomness of operations are the biggest challenges for me. The rest of my home network (~60 devices) is on Insteon with ISY 994 hub, have been using it for almost a decade, it's one of those things you forget you have as it's working flawlessly, I wish Wink was one of them. Wink attracted me thanks to the nice design of the devices and app. But the devil is in the details as everyone says, my Wink network with ~10 devices requires more attention than the ~60 Insteon with devices ...Details -1) The lag of turning on/off even local loads is just odd, not mentioning that sometimes it's only the icon that indicates the "load on", but the load does not come on (yes, I'm talking even about local load that is hard-wired to the relay). The physical buttons don't have a good feedback on touch so turning things on and off feels strange, especially if you are used to soft touch from Insteon. So net - it's 80% chance that the light gets turned on or off, which is not awesome...2) You can't use it without internet. Correct, your local WiFi is not sufficient, it has to be connected to the Internet, even for the local load to be turned on or off.3) Some of those units turn on their displays randomly at night, so had to build a flap across the display not to be woken up by that.4) The intercom feature is not that great, I never got it to work so people on the other side understand "what you are saying" even with an upgraded WiFi hub. It's been an interesting experience with Wink overall, most of the time when things don't work as expected (e.g. light randomly turns on at 3am, or sensors don't provide all capabilities as Wink app says) - the general direction from Wink is that it's someone elses problem, even if you have a newer version of a 3rd party sensor that they list as "works with Wink"... I understand that it's very hard to keep compatibility with all the hundreds of devices, but I'm disappoited by the approach...Also seems like Wink likes to de-list their products from Amazon and re-list them again without reviews so they can start fresh with more people getting in. Is that the way to get more fans? I don't think so...

Constantly falls off the wall
I’ve owned the Wink relay since it first came out and have even replaced it once. It’s such a poorly designed device, I’m ready to ditch it and try one of the many newer options on the market.Pros: the angled screen is easy to see since it installs on light switch box, which generally isn’t at eye level. I like the two preset buttons (top load and bottom load - I use one to control a decorative wall fixture; the other is set for a multi-light Hue load). I also have it set so that when I walk past, I see the weather, and I have an emergency on/off setting for all perimeter lights on the house.Cons: Pretty much everything else. First, it doesn’t stay on the wall very well. The first one fell off so many times we had to replace it. When it does stay on the wall it doesn’t make a solid connection, so touching the buttons is as likely to cause a reboot as it is to turn the lights on/off. The screen should be much more customizable, but it has very limited options - silly for a smart home controller. The wrist part about Wink in general is that it’s not compatible with Apple HomeKit or Siri. As we’ve added more Lutron dimmers to our Wink hub, it’s left huge gaps in what we can control with Siri.I suppose if you’re an Alexa person, this might be a more viable option. It was sort of okay in 2014, but it didn’t keep up with smarthome technology. I might watch for a 3rd gen Wink hub and cross my fingers that it will pull everything together, but I should just walk away from Wink and find a nicer wall controller.

So much potential, such a waste...
I really wanted to like this product. But in a nutshell, their hardware designers should get a raise while their software folks need to get fired... First and foremost, the user interface is horrible if you want to control more than perhaps 2-3 lights. Any more than that, all you can do is wait for the software to load and then scroll to whatever light or other source you want to control. In my experience, it takes less time to just walk across the room and turn on the switch manually. Or even to pull out your phone and use the wink app...But wait, it does not stop here. Half the time the commands/entries on the relay don’t result in anything... Lights on, or maybe not. it is such a waste to see such a beautiful piece of hardware ruined by elementary school level software development.

DO NOT BUY THIS
I just removed and destroyed 2 of these I had installed about a year ago. They are in different buildings and both started randomly turning the lights off over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, to the point that I actually created a "robot" to be triggered by one of the lights going off and TURN IT BACK ON. This was so infuriating I was tempted to take a hammer and BEAT the thing off the wall. Wink has no solution for it. Very expensive piece of junk that I replaced with $0.98 wall switches.Wink appears to be going out of business. Their customer service phone number gives an "away" greeting even during business hours when trying to find a solution to this problem.
