I NEED UV gloves for my acrylic and gel manicures. I've had both squamous and basal cell cancers removed from my arms and shoulders, along with using Efudex on my arms and legs, to get rid of damaged skin spots. I recently read an article that states there IS damage from the UV lights, as I thought, judging by the changes I've seen in the skin on my hands. I'm 65 years-old and used to tan a lot as a teenager. I ordered these gloves over other brands because some reviews on other gloves said they came apart or were not stretchy. These fit great! My hands are wide with shorter fingers than pretty women's hands are. I will wear these in a week when I get another acrylic and gel manicure. I bought the light pink to not stand out. The man that does my best acrylic/gel manicures in Fort Collins, Colorado has told me there is no risk from the UV lights. Wrong.

These are just too big and too long they cover part of my nails and are super loose. Because they're so loose they slide down and get in the way. I had to cut the fingers down but they're still annoying, I have to be super careful or they mess up my gel polish.

In my opinion, these gloves are optional. As someone who lives with sensitive skin issues, I tend to take every precaution that I can to protect my skin from any additional damage. Using these gloves to protect my skin from any potential UV damage just makes sense to me, and gives one less thing to worry about.

i've been wanting gloves like this for awhile and they're very cute! it feels so good knowing that i'm protecting my hands while i do my nails as i always do mine from home with an at-home gel setup. they're comfy as well!

I recently started doing polygel nails and was concerned about protecting my skin. I thought these would be bulky but they are very smooth and fit nicely. I have very small hands and have to pull the pinky finger back a smidge, but beyond that, they are a great fit. Very happy with my purchase!
