Awesome gadget
This thing is flat out awesome, was out on my back porch one evening getting terrorized by flying bugs. I grabbed it and swung it in front of me while sitting in a chair and caught a deer fly. **KAPOW** sounded like a firecracker. The sound startled me, both my dogs took flight, and my son got 6" of air. Since then I've used it on carpenter bees, flies, mosquitos, and any other nuisance bugs without fail. My challenge is keeping my 9yr old son away from it after he asked me with every ounce of innocence, "Will that hurt the dogs too Dad?" <<groan>>

Great Fun!! Slightly heavy
Since we have a pool, we have an abundance of flies!! While I know I can't get rid of them, this sure makes having to deal with them that much more fun! I would give it 5 stars, but I feel that it can seem a little heavy and wish it was lighter.

Excellent fly terminator and surprisingly entertaining!
I love this zapper more than I ever expected. Fruit flies were everywhere and in addition to using liquid traps I decided to try the zapper to annihilate the rest. It's a little shocking to hear a loud zap when you get your first one, but it turned out to be strangely fun to hunt down the annoying flying pests that invaded our house. Hitting one mid-air was difficult so I found it most effective to wait until they landed on a counter or cupboard and stealthy lower the zapper over them. House flies are a little tougher, but I used the same technique on them. Some take more than one zap, especially large flies like horseflies. Once they're stunned the second zap does them in. This was worth every penny for the entertainment value alone. My husband was impressed with my zapper kill skills even though he initially thought this was a questionable purchase. Now he's on board with the zapper. I also got one for a friend who shares my opinion of bugs.
