The Mamba Monster X ESC and 1515-2200Kv sensored motor are paired together and perform incredibly in monster trucks with up to 6S LiPo packs (4S LiPo is the sweet spot), and works great in 1:8 scale buggies, truggies and on-road vehicles as well as 1:10 scale monster trucks weighing up to 15 lbs. You will have all the power your 1:8th scale vehicle demands with the smoother throttle control of a sensored motor. The ESC features a heavy-duty, adjustable Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) to provide plenty of power for today’s power-hungry servos. The Monster X BEC voltage is adjustable from 5.5V, 6.0V, 7.5V and 8.0V while output is rated at 4.5 AMP continuous and 8 AMP peak. Mamba Monster X takes Castle’s legendary “monster” performance to a whole new level!

"Overpower Anything" Pretty accurate slogan. Lots of fun in 1/8 Buggy
The media could not be loaded. I got tired of all the effort and always buying fuel with the nitro engine (although its super fun with the noise and smoke!) and decided to do a brushless conversion on my 21 year old Ofna/Hobao Hyper 7 Pro. I went back and forth between this and the Hobbywing Max 8 G2, but settled here since Castle Creations is a USA made product, and the price was roughly the same. I remember as a kid I always wanted a Castle Mamba setup! Easily hitting 49mph with moderate gearing and a radio with poor range (less distance to speed up) You can see from the video that there is power to shred your tires! The interface is very cool. its great being able to download information from the ESC, I found out that i peaked out at a little over 2800watts, this is equal to 3.75 HP!!!! That is crazy! I am using it with a 4s 60C 6000 mah battery and get about 20 minutes of run time. Also, once the tires are warm and sticky its possible to do pull and sustain wheelies if you punch it while rolling. its been fun learning how to drive the car instead of just tuning an engine. Looking forward to pushing the speed further once I have a radio with better range. It is definitely overpowered, but its definitely fun!

Best in the RC industry....STILL
Nobody gets it right all the time. But its how you make it right that really matters. I've been in the RC hobby for almost 25 years and in that time I've used about every brand available. Castle Creations has proven over and over that they are second to none in production and especially customer service. Ninety-nine percent of the time I have had zero problems and 100% satisfaction. But on occasion you get those ones it slip through that has a fault that nobody might have caught and those things do happen. But from working with Castle Creations I've also learned that their commitment to their product and customer satisfaction is second to no one. Few times I've had a situation it's as simple as a phone call and a trip to the post office and a little bit of patience and they will make it right. I recommend Castle Creations if you got the money I say it's money well-spent and if you don't then maybe just wait another week or two till you get it cuz in the long run your satisfaction is all there looking out for. Thanks again the Castle Creations wonderful product and thanks to Amazon for bringing it to us at a decent price.George D CrumDesert Storm VeteranAnd RC enthusiast

not sure what to do about this, maybe manufactures defect maybe returned used item
took the esc out of the box and the pos battery wire has solder wicked approx 1 inch up coming out of the case. the pos wire sticks straight up because of this and is not flexible. no idea if it came from castle this way or if this was returned and re sold. guess ill try to deal with castle or the seller. very disappointed I needed this for a race on the weekend. the bend in the pic is the start of where the wire gets flexible again.

esc worked a few times
The esc worked properly a few times but now when i power it on and use throttle the most i can get is some kind of cogging (the motor stutters like power is cutting out idk) i suspect that i messed up one of the female connectors on the esc. emailed castle and havent got a response

Works great on my Rustler VXL
With the use of my dremel tool and an esc cage I bought separately, I was able to install both the ESC and motor. Weights on the front due to the high acceleration this puts out. Haven't done any speed runs yet. I'm also a 1st time solderer and that was fun to do. Don't decide to not buy this because soldering is involved. It's well worth it!

Really nice system!
Perfect for the traxxas maxx, I get longer run times then the stock esc and motor which is why I got this system, it's definitely more efficient.
