This is a light weight but warm jacket, exactly ...
This is a light weight but warm jacket, exactly what I was looking for. The problem for me was the pockets, there was an external breast pocket on the left hand side of the jacket and an internal breast pocket ALSO on the left hand side with nothing on the right hand side. I normally carry a mobile phone and a wallet. The layout of the breast pockets meant that both items had to be carried on the left hand side of the jacket causing it to bulge badly. Additionally the hand pockets were quite small.

Great jacket but the clear plastic window ruins it for me
Received this jacket today. Really nice looking and feeling jacket. Great as a midlayer or even over a fleece.Only thing that ruins it for me is the clear plastic tag window at the back. Looks like a jacket that a child would take to school and put a name tag in it. Ruins the over all look of the jacket for me.Will be sending it back due to this. Shame.

Comfortable for short periods in weather down to -20C.
I bought this jacket after a good deal of research. I travel to and from Uk to Kazakhstan where the weather is frequently sub-zero. I wanted something lightweight and easy to pack in my backpack while travelling . Last week I arrived in Kazastan where the weather was -20C. With a t-shirt and light sweater I was perfectly comfortable. The sleeves are flock lined from shoulder to wrist, but only at the front. So there is a bit of a cold pactch on the back of my arms. However, with a long sleeved shirt or sweater this is not a problem. My walk to work is about 1km and with appropriate layers underneath it is very windproof and comfortable. My only complaint would be that the arms are a little snug, especially when wearing layers. Another inch of arm room would make this jacket perfect. It is good for work here and having walked in wet and windy weather on recent coastal walks in the UK I'd recommend it to other buyers lokoing for something light, water and windproof.

Nice jacket, shame about the plastic wallet on the back
Initially loved this jacket, fitted well, stylish and practical, I got the black colour. Then on first wear outside, my wife pointed out that the clear plastic race pocket on the back of the jacket was fogging up with condensation, because the jacket was black it stood out a mile, walking around with a patch of condensation between the shoulders just looked awful, and would no doubt generate a few sniggers.Update:I tried this a few times with the same results, and I asked the question to see if anybody else had the same issues prior to posting this review, and someone suggested putting the silicone bag that comes with the jacket into the clear plastic wallet, not sure whether I understood his intent, put it in the clear wallet to prevent the condensation or put it in after you take the jacket off to help dry it up, either way your going to have the same problem either a patch of condensation on your back, or a silicone bag stuck in a clear plastic wallet on your back :) Not for me unfortunately, I returned it, shame, I did really like it.

Great looking jacket and very comfortable
I had an XL coat and it fits exactly as expected (I am just over 6 feet tall and around 95 kilos) Only debatable point is that the sleeves are a little long, but this can be alleviated by tightening the velcro around the cuffs. There is a handy inner pocket just inside the zip which easily and safely holds my Samsung Galaxy S9. There is also another zip inside the jacket at the rear which when opened, just reveals the space between the outer layer and the lining. Quite what the point of this zip is remains a mystery to me.Overall, I love the jacket and I think with a brand like HH, you can't go wrong.

High Quality you would expect
This is the usual high quality you would expect from HH. Strong and versatile but haven't worn out sailing yet. I would suggest that this is a little heavier and warmer than 'Lighweight' but ticks a lot of boxes. As regards sizing I take a large and am by no means underweight - but I suspect a medium would have fit me at 6 foot and 96kg.

Stood up to the elements in style.
Bought this as a stopgap until I found a down filled jacket I liked. I'm not going to bother with the down jacket now. This is Incredibly warm for such a lightweight jacket. Worn jacket over a thin sweater in the snow for over an hour and was amazed at how well it stood up to the cold.Worn it for work on the north east coast of England. Icy rain and sea spray knocking me sideways for half a day and didnt let a drop in.Unlike other water resistant jackets I've owned this is extremely breathable.I'm 5.8 with 44 inch chest 34 inch waist. I ordered two. The large fits great, as with most things I wear, I find it slightly snug around top of my chunky arms but not overly.

Great quality item. Would buy again.
I bought this jacket after searching on Amazon for ages I found this Helly Hansen jacket. I have an odd shape being 1m 83 and very slim. So wanted something smart and not too bigfor my shape. Item arrived a day late but that is fine.I was pleasantly surprised. Really light weight, smart and well made item. Not too keen withthe name on the collar but not a disaster. Have n't been out in the rain no rain yet..I have a friend who lives in Plymouth and has a sailing boat after talking to him he said the HHbrand is really good quality but pricey, all top sailing nerds wear HH. I was sold!!So glad I followed his lead. Very happy customer.. If you ain't sure always ask a buddy...
