You have to admit that this golden mask is a pretty cool thing to use and have some fun with. It makes me look like some sort of cyborg or weird sci-fi entity. I have a very wild imagination and a wicked sense of humor, so this thing totally appeals to me on those levels. Provides me with a nice spa day treat in the meantime.As most facial masks do, it softens my skin, gives it a healthy glow (even after the gold plastic like mask is removed), and helps to make my skin more supple and elastic. You get 12 masks in this pack, so you've got enough to last you for at least a month or so, depending on how often you use them.It's the actual process of using them that gets a bit awkward. The mask is submerged in a tray full of liquid serum. I'm not sure what the mask is made of, but it seems like it might be some sort of very thick gel. So thick that it's like a very soft and malleable plastic that can pull and fall apart easily if you aren't careful. You need to cut open the packaging while it's faced downward. Once you remove the backing, you carefully lift the mask out of the tray and place it over your face. You need to handle it gently and try your best to place it so that it aligns with your facial features. I find it's not perfect, but will do well enough. One thing that I do like is that it is much easier to apply to the face than most others that are white and need pulling apart. Those can be a pain trying to get them apart without dropping and tearing. This is already full out ready.After you get this layered over your face, most of it sticks into place. I say most because some of it, especially along the jaw line, tends to want to separate from the skin and needs continued pushing back against the face. Most stays, so it won't be falling off of your face. There will be some extra serum left in the tray that you can rub over your neck or any other part of the body you think could benefit from this serum. Be aware though, things get messy, so you'll need to do some cleaning up because some of that serum will be falling out of the tray. You might even want to place this in a regular try or a plate to minimize your mess.The directions suggest that you wear this mask for 30 minutes. I always let them go longer. You'll feel when you are ready to remove the mask. It looks really cool, or funny, depending on your point of view, while wearing. Just sit or lay down and relax for awhile and let it do its job. Once removed, let the serum air dry. From there, you can go on with the rest of your skincare routine and go about your day.This works well if you don't mind how this mask fits and needs tending to. Jakuva 24K Golden Bio-Collagen Facial Masks, Gold Collage Face Patch/ Pad For Moisturising and Hydrating (12 PCS)On a recent visit with my mom and sister, we used these Jakuva 24K Golden Bio-Collagen Facial Masks for a “Girls Night” of beauty.As with all collagen mask, we looked silly, but no more so than with your typical sheet mask.The fit definitely needs some work, as it has fold over areas at the cheeks when you press the chin area against the skin. The eyes and forehead area seemed proportional, with the upper part of the lip section not hitting quite right; it landed on our lips.There was a generously LARGE QUANTITY OF SERUM in the see through packs. It ended up being enough to treat my neck and both my arms.It can be a bit tricky keeping the mask on, so we secured them and took a seat, visiting and watching TV.All in all, it was a fun “Girls Night” with family.
