Huh?
Wonder what it is with Indian authors stretching a story?! While we'll written, the attempt to linger on like a mediocre Bollywood film is obvious.Book 1 was nice, and this particular volume is a filler at best. Hope he wraps it up in #3

Portraits Indigenous History correctly
Shatrujeet did it again. The second book also a gem just like first one. I couldn't stop before finishing the book. I personally also like Shatrujeet for portraits indigenous Indian history correctly. Where I find major issues with writer like Amritanshu and Amish.

... and bounds from his first two books which were pretty good reads themselves
The Author has grown by leaps and bounds from his first two books which were pretty good reads themselves. This one is several levels above his previous work - its a book that grabs the reader with its pages and submerges him/her into a fantastically mythical world and an array of captivating characters. This one was truly un-put-downable, demanding a cover-to-cover read in one session. And then a few re-reads, because the picture he paints is so vivid that you WANT to be part of the action there. Well done!

A must-read!
(For the whole series)I wish I could discover this series for the first time once again! Such a brilliant series with an original story based on well-known characters of myth and legend. It is full of characters that will stay with you long after the last page is closed. Full of unexpected plot twists and brilliant fight sequences, this is what mythological fantasy should be.

An Excellent Read!!!
What happens to Avanti and its citizens after the attacks from Devas and Asuras? What happens to Vishaka? Did the Shukracharya found the dagger’s location? To answer all these questions, Shatrujeeth Nath has given us ‘The Conspiracy at Meru’.It basically starts off from where the first book ended but with a small story about a vision of the characters had. The significance of that particular vision is very high that it changes the course of the story towards the end. Avanti has faced a heavy damage from the attacks and the state of the people and the Samrat Vikramaditya is very pitiful. The dilemma faced by the Samrat as to whether he did the did the right thing by accepting the dagger from the omniscient one or not, can be felt by the readers by the way author has narrated the series of events. In this book, a lot of sides stories crept in and the main story hasn’t progressed very much. But we get to know some important things about Vikramaditya’s past. Indra’s son comes into the plot to prove his worth to his father and to the girl he loves. One more fact about this story is that, people who come to destroy the city and get the dagger from Vikramaditya, help the country and the Samrat unknowingly to a great extent. The internal politics of the country is also coming neck and neck with the other problems faced by the Samrat. Shukracharya is identified and once the Samrat gets to know his motive, he sends him back to his adobe, banishing him from the country. At last, Vikramaditya is completely broken by the complex turn of events which makes me ask the author one question,Why you do this to us, Sir? Why?One more intriguing fact is that the author has changed the title of the series to Vikramaditya Veergatha from Vikramaditya Trilogy. I think the series is not going to stop with three books.Excellent read! My rating – 4.5/5

An indicator of a future Indian classic
Vikramaditya Veergatha 2 is truly one of the best books on Indian mythology available right now. It is eloquently written with a beautiful narrative at a fast pace, enough to keep the readers engrossed enough to read it at one go. The characters we meet in the first book are explored upon much more in this book. One of the best attributes of this book is to carefully flesh out a moment and capture it to the umpteenth detail. The dialogues are nuanced and narrative flows unpredictably good. The book lends an honest authenticity to the characters. I would highly recommend this book to all readers and lover of fantasy embedded in history. 'The Conspiracy at Meru' has a high re-readability factor that will eventually put in the future classics section.

Exemplary !!!!
A fantastic read. It was absolute pleasure reading the 2nd part of the Vikramaditya Veergatha series.Right from the beginning, you will be drawn into the Sindhuvarta world. Such is the description of the surroundings that one will start seeing the things happening in the novel as if they are happening in front of us.There is no dearth of action and thrill in the 2nd part as well. There are some characters whom you will you will love and some you will feel pityClimax, again is a masterstroke and highly unexpected. At one point of time I felt, wish I was there to warn the protagonists about the lurking danger. Such is the impact of the writing.Waiting Eagerly for the next installment!!

Good read but Guardians of Halahala was more gripping
Good read but Guardians of Halahala was more gripping and had better storytelling. This book has less content about the conflicts between humans and the devas or asuras. This was something I really enjoyed in book-1 and it gave a glimpse of fairy tales that we used to read and hear as children. Neverthless, the book is quite a good read and picks up really well in the second half but truths getting unfolded with every chapter. Eagerly wait for the third book to seal the great experience. Kudos to Shatrujeet Nath for the good work.
