Perfect Solution
My Penn Plax Cascade 1200 has worked fine for years but developed a slow leak esp when shut off while doing tank maintenance. I read to replace the gaskets, which I haven't done for since new. Voilà this fixed the slow leaked immediately, and the improved seal has quieted down the impeller as well. Proper suction seal/suction unit is much more efficient.

Good quality gasket to stop leaks
Our 700 series filter has been in use since 2014 and started to leak months ago. We tried cleaning and re-assembly with marginal success. It finally started leaking enough to force us to consider replacing the entire filter pump.Luckily we found this and it worked perfectly. Only time will tell if we get +8 years from this, but I feel pretty confident we will.Buy it and save yourself the trouble.
