Decent light - but flimsy hardware make the unit seem cheap when mounted.
The mirror is ok - with good clarity. The LED surround does not illuminate evenly, but it is effective for it's use. The build of the light itself is decent, and it should work. I like that there is a dimming switch rather than just off and on.So why a 2 star? The mounting bracket is laughably flimsy, and the heavy light is held onto that flimsy bracket with two tiny screws. The hardware that came with the units was also extremely cheap - aka will strip out and bend. I used good quality hardware from my local hardware store to mount the flimsy bracket to the wall. The bracket allows for lots of movement of the base against the wall.I would not have purchased these if I had known how flimsy the mounting bracket is - certainly something heavier would be more fitting for a light that cost over $50.

It is almost like there is a protective film over the mirror
1. The reflection is not very clear. It is almost like there is a protective film over the mirror.2. The mounting system is shabby. It is not flush and feels like it could easily be pulled off my sheet rock wall.3.3. The magnification is too weak to be useful as a shaving mirror. I suggest that you try this product in a retail store before purchasing online.4. The lighting is not bright enough. Try it in person before buying.

Lighted mirror that is actually usable!
Light is dimmable and can light up a dark room on its own. mirror and base are of good quality. If you are looking for a lighted mirror with a light that is actually usable, look no further.

ALHAKIN Wall Mounted Makeup Mirror - 3X Magnification - Lighted (requires wall power) - Chrome Finish - Sturdy - Looks great
The quality of this mirror's constructions seems fantastic. The mirror itself is 6.25 x 8.75 inches and produces a crisp & clear image. The articulating arm, in combination with the horizontal rotation allowed by the connection point at the mirror, allow you to move the mirror into just about any point and angle that you need. This quality is also represented by the unit's weight; the mirror we received weighs in at about 2 pounds 14 ounces (almost 3 pounds) per our postal scale, and much of that weight is in the mirror. This means that when you extend the device's arm out for use, there is a lot of weight sitting out away from the base connected to the wall. Further, when you use your hands to move the mirror around, you are adding pressure to the base given the existing weight.Soooo... here's the problem: The set comes with two very thin 2-inch screws and two 1,5 inch drywall anchors, meant to mount this unit into drywall. Given the weight and the leverage created by the articulating arm when extended -- we would recommend mounting this unit directly into a framing stud and not mounting this into drywall. Since the mirror needs to be plugged in to operate its light, and since just about every wall outlet we have seen has been installed along side of a framing stud, finding a stud should not be difficult as long as you have an outlet in a convenient place for use.We have what seems to be 1/2 inch thick drywall (sheetrock) in our house, so 2 inch long screws would put about 1.5 inches of screw in the stud... and that should be OK, as long as you have good spacing. However, the screws that come with the pack are super thin gauge, seem to be chrome covered, and have tiny screw heads that looked very easy to strip when under pressure of being screwed into a stud. We opted to get slightly thicker stainless steel 2 inch screws with a nice, strong flat top head and use them instead. Additionally, when installing into wood like a stud -- toss the drywall anchors away as they are not needed and are too long for use with a wood installation.Once the installation was completed and the entire device mounted firmly & plugged in, the mirror looks great and works well. If you seek a lighted mirror of this style, size, functionality, and wall mount design, and have the capability to mount it properly given its design, then we would recommend giving this device a try based on our experience with it so far.RecommendedGo for it.We received this item gratis from the manufacturer or a seller, without obligation, and decided to objectively test and review it.
