This needs light to charge the battery
I would not buy this again as most of us keep a thermometer in a drawer so it will not work in the middle of the night on demand after months of being in the dark. I do like solar products but sometimes they are not practical. The 5 star rating is because the product works when charged.

EASY to use!
I already have one of these thermometers and I love it! I bought one for my daughter and family. Solar means it’s always ready when you need it. No dead batteries just when you or your children are sick.

Accurate and reliable
I have a ten year old version of this thermometer that I replace because the battery is not holding a charge. It has served us very well over those years so I replaced it with the same model.

Solar Thermometer Never Needs Batteries!
Tired of batteries? This thermometer verified my body temperature as 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit and the company responded to my email for questions I had. It may deserve 5 stars, but I won't know that until I test it longer. I also bought a conventional glass tube type thermometer and the temperature readings were the same. I recommend the solar thermometer.
