Makes recovery fun and humorous and less lonely.
This is a wonderful book that will make you laugh and smile and chortle. Read it together with someone and you will surely find a reason to smile on every single page. It’s like sitting down with the best friend who has a terrific sense of humor about all of life‘s foibles and difficulties. You won’t feel sorry for yourself after you read just a few pages and you may just go out and help someone smile just by reading it. Keep it on your bedside table it’s a wonderful way to wake up! Give it as a gift to anyone you loveOr even someone you don’t, because they may become a nicer person just reading it! Great work Misti B.!

Fun for a experience 12 stepper
I caught a few of these pages looking at a blog, or a Facebook page I can't remember... But the bottom line is it was enough to enthrall me to look it up here, and then order it and I spent 6 weeks with it... It's a daily reader that has one person's opinion about codependency written in a daily form. It's not bad, it's just I thrive on a different kind of humor, this is a little bit too sarcastic / sardonic... And I also do thrive on uplifting material.I give it five stars nonetheless because if it's your style book and you like the dry humor, You like to see yourself as the codependent soul you are, and you like knowing that you're not alone-- This is a good book for that.

Got it, meant to read a page a day, and couldn't put it down!
I bought a few copies - one for me - then, three for friends who have a difficult time letting go of their relationships. I expected it to be cute, but the humor and thought-provoking topics surpassed my expectations. The pages are like chips - you can't read just one! I also realize that, though the cover says it's for people in certain "recovery" programs, it is a wonderful gift for anyone who has ever been tempted to just "drive by" HIS apartment to see if his lights are on! LOL I tried to look up other books by the same author, but couldn't find any. I hope she writes more! I'm going to keep a few on hand as gifts for anyone going through a break-up. They will be better of with this book, than their sick relationship! : )

Interesting and funny at times but no wow factor
Thought this might be a funny take on relationships with some helpful advice. Like other comments I think the humor doesn't quite reach the audience. I appreciate sarcasm and can certainly open up to the idea of lightening up what could be a very heavy and serious topic. Overall it is an easy daily reader it just doesn't have a wow factor for me.

On a path that brings up a lot of pain and grief, this was what I needed to balance it all out.
This book came up as a suggestion as I was looking for the daily readers I wanted to get as I started my 12 step program. It was hard at first to crack a smile. Recovery was so painful in the beginning. Eventually, I found myself chuckling on the inside, then smiling, then laughing out loud. This daily ready is my spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. I read all my other 12 step daily readers first and save this one for the last. I like to end my daily readings with some humor. I've taken myself way too seriously for way too long. Thank you, thank you Misti B. for helping me slowly laugh at myself.

Funny, cute, smart, and comforting.
This is a great daily reader for a little boost of humor and stress relief - particularly for those of us who cope with family and friends with addiction. Each day has a one page meditation but you can really flip to any page to find some great insight and encouragement. Misti tells it like is, like she's your good friend, and her own recovery is apparent throughout. Just a great little book to have around.

Saw myself on too many pages!
Hilarious, and massively relevant! A refreshing and yet sensitive approach to issues faced by loved ones in recovery from the effects of the behaviors of others. A light-hearted take on a gut-wrenching phenomenon. Thanks, Misti B !

Great daily read
Great daily read. I don't always see the humor in each segment but that could just be me. It's the only reason why I didn't post 5 stars.
