Just does not function for what it designed
The cassette player works and when the USB is inserted to convert to mp3, the music slows down and then there is only a hissing noise. Even after multiple tries, change of batteries, it does not perform for what it is designed for.

Didn't work for converting cassettes to digital
Do not buy this. It is very poorly made and difficult to use. The first one I ordered would not convert cassette tapes to mp3s because the usb input was defective. The replacement didn't work because the play button would not engage. The controls are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them.Absolute garbage....a waste of time and money.

POOR QUALITY AUDIO IS DISTORTED ON PLAY BACK
I used this product to down load music from cassettes to USB flash drive the first one I purchased I returned because the download quality of audio on the play back from the USB flash drive was distorted at various points. I requested a exchange for another and i'm finding that one to also to be of poor quality audio feed back. It a sounds like it's recording at low speed at times causing the playback to sound distorted. I made sure the power supply to the cassette was good and I played the cassettes I was copying from on my Onkyo cassette player to make sure those tapes had good audio. I would not recommend this product as to be a good quality item.

Inexpensive solution, but not flawless.
Greetings.I recorded a lot of my own original music onto cassette back in the 80's and 90's. This seemed like an inexpensive option. It works well enough to get the tracks into MP3 format but is not 100% smooth or without flaws. In order to have separate tracks, you have to hit stop and start between every track. If you just let it sit and convert on its own, it will make one long MP3. Its not the end of the world as there are a plethora of software out there that can split MP3s up for you. Some are even free.My only real complaint is that the resulting MP3 file is never a perfect copy of the original analog recording. Throughout there are "microsecond skips" that are quite noticeable. As an example, after converting a 3 minute song to MP3, the MP3 will have 3 or 4 random "microsecond skips" The total length of the track will still be about 2:59:95 in total. I tested this with multiple cassettes of varying qualities. And maybe 1 out of 10 tracks had no skips in the MP3 file. And its all random. I also tested 2 of these units and it was the same for both.So if you are looking for flawless conversion, then this is not the solution for you. I'm just converting old files of me playing guitar and keyboard, so its fine for me.I also acknowledge that this may not be the same for all units. If its a good seller, then give it a try. My seller on Amazon was wonderful.Thank you for reading my review.
