quality
The first time I bought it it had a nasty distortion in the audio, I had to return it, I bought it for a second time and the difference was night and day, it performs really well, it is compact and has all the features I need,

Almost perfect
I have hearing loss and the opposite of "golden ears" or to put it another way I am no audiophile but this thing sounds good. Unfortunately the channels don't go to zero volume when turned all the way down, I can live with this, work around it but others may have more of a problem with it. For this I took off one star. Very solid built, made in America, good price, a welcome relief from cheap Chinese junk with funny names. If they had made one with 1/8 connectors vs 1/4 connectors I would have bought it as everything I am connecting is 1/8. Adapters solve that problem, no big deal.

Works well...if you gain stage it properly
If you ensure that your source is set at unity gain (and that you're not relying on the Rolls to make up the difference) then you shouldn't be experiencing any hum or buzz problems. Unity gain on a MacBook Pro or a iPhone is about three button presses down from the max volume level. For me, it worked as advertised. No issues.

Works well so far, supports both mono and stereo, built solid/heavy, pricey?
This device works well with great audio quality and low noise so far!A few notes in addition to what others have said:- The device supports both mono and stereo. If you only plug into the right input of a channel, the mono input is duplicated on both L and R channels.- The separate volume controls for the headphone and master are independent. Changing one does not affect the other.- The small device is built in a heavy, sturdy case. I was hoping to lighten it up a bit, but there are no weights to remove, just a sturdy steel case. Not a bit deal (and the weight is probably a benefit for most users).- There are two headphones out, but they are tied together passively with a single volume control. This is as advertised for the use of having either 1/4" or 3.5mm connection. Seems to work fine for dual headphones but your experience may vary.Seems a bit pricey for what it is, but works well with the size and features I was looking for.
