This was recommended as an ingredient for Andrew Skurka's no-cook beans and rice recipe. The dried beans are a little pricey, but it was one of the best backpacking meals, ever.

I love these beans for backpacking. They are light, easy to make and they are sooooooo goooood. Just add boiling water, put on a tortilla, and add cheese. I have also made them with freeze dried sweet potato, cheese and sour cream. Gourmet backcountry cooking!

They were pretty good, but nothing special.

Sunday nights are made for Mexican food at my house. Santa Fe dried beans are the perfect accompaniment to tacos and tortillas.

It’s ONE bag. $10 is too much for one bag

Not bad quick cook time and great taste.

We like this because can make 1 serving and not waste a can. I can’t find in my grocery store any more
