Nice tent, wish hadn't skimped on the bag
It is a nice tent that's easy to set up, and kept water out when it rained during first night of use, even with the top vents open. One motivation to get this was easier setup compared to our old tent that requires feeding the poles through sleeves instead of just clipping, which made for challenging setup without another adult or older child to help. However, I did not expect to have to think about ease of tear down and packing up. Unlike that old tent, which I never once struggled with to pack up, the bag for this is a joke, as it is not really any larger than the contents and only has a drawstring at one end, instead of part zip or shark mouth. Is like the bags that the Target brand Embark sleeping bags come in, but even less accommodating for the intended contents. If don't include the footprint when pack up may help, and at least the footprint is included instead of being an extra like with other companies. While I managed with much effort and a few attempts to get everything back in the bag following a trial run setup at home, the attached pic is a friend's effort to do so after first use.

Great tent. I love mountainsmith
Love this tent it's my all around to use tent. It's not the lightest but it's not the heaviest. It's not the biggest but it's not the smallest. Its is just right. It's a good looking tent and it's a great price for what you get. So versatile. I have made some personal adjustments to my tent to add better ventilation. There is lots of tension cord so I cut some off and used it to pull out the rain fly stake points further. This really helped with ventilation. I live in the desert so getting a good breeze is important. Now if you dont like tunnel tents then dont buy this tent. I also replaced the steel stakes with some sea to summit stakes. Cut down on the weight a little bit.

Nice Budget Tent
Easy set up. Seems to be well made for the price.

but great as advertised
Only used it once, but great as advertised. Bigger than most 4-person tents. We were able to fit a pack n play crib in it on a family campout. Perfect for late spring to early fall.

Quality tent for casual camping
As a point of reference I do a lot of camping in challenging weather conditions and have owned my fair share of cheap and quality tents over the years. I currently only use REI brand tents due to the extreme durability I require in my equipment. I received this item at no cost for an honest and unbiased review of its quality, features and design. I hope you find this review helpful in your search. This tent has a few nice features that basic tents don't have, but I would classify this as a casual tent not designed for difficult weather. I will review the pros/cons and highlight the main features. I gave it 4 stars due to the extra design features, but based on pricepoint and durability I would give it 3 stars. I was unable to choose 3.5 stars. Pros: This tent comes with a footprint which is the exact size needed for the tent rather than having to use a tarp below. This provides a good moisture barrier to the base of the tent. This is a feature usually seen in higher end tents, including REI brand.- The connection point for the poles are also designed with quality and function in mind. Instead of the little metal posts that stick into the tent pole like most entry level tents have this uses an eyelet/grommet insertion design which I love on my other tents already. This creates better tension at the connection points since both the tent and footprint connect together at each point.- Tent has good zippers and shielded ventilation. I haven't used it in the rain, but it seems like it would hold up to light rain without too much trouble.- The tent contents in entirety are able to be rolled up compactly and fit back into the sleeve bag it came in. This could fit in a ruck sac, or be tied on to a heavy duty back pack.- Tent is lightweight for travel, simple in design to setup, and able to be used by a child.- Tent is rectangular instead of square which allows an adult to fully stretch out during sleep.- Fly buckles into either the footprint or main tent rather than tying or sharing the eyelet tension system.Cons: This tent is pretty compact and doesn't have much space for gear inside. sleeps 2 people with no bags or 1 person with a bag or two. Could possibly, maybe, fit a twin size air mattress, but that would fill the entire floor space and push on the sidewalls.- Tent stakes are a joke. I own chopsticks more formidable than these. Unless you have heavy gear or people inside during wind gusts this tent is an instant tumble weed. Amazon sells some universal heavy duty stakes, highly recommend upgrading those.Would be better if: The fly buckled into both the footprint and main tent in some way that would allow you to sinch the tension together between the footprint and fly to secure the tent better and allow less wind between the fly and tent. currently fly only buckles into one or the other.- Footprint extended a few feet further past the door of the tent with anchor points by the door and at the end. This would create a little staging area for taking off shoes and allow the fly to be tied off to help cover that area for a little privacy when getting dressed.Overall this is a quality tent with features better than entry level, but at $140 you are already approaching the point where you could get a much more rugged and feature laden design for only another $20-30 or so. Personally I would put the extra money into a really great tent for this price point or choose something in the $75 range for a casual camping tent.

Interior dimensions are 90L x 56W x 41H... NOT 92L x 56W x 48H.. BUYER BEWARE
I'm 6'4" and fell for poorly worded or misleading product info/dimensions put out by Mountainsmith and then parroted by Amazon. I am assuming the 92" length (the most critical dimension for me) is of the whole tent including rainfly b/c the interior is 90" long. But the big deal breaker for me is the peak height, listed at 48" is only 41" on the interior. Total tent height with fly on is only 43". So, I have no idea where they get 48" for the peak height. That's false advertising Mountainsmith! Correct your technical stats please!. It makes me wonder if the similarly dimensioned Morrison Evo, etc., is also inaccurate. Mountainsmith: give accurate product info. Please! This is very disappointing. The build quality of the tent otherwise looks good. I am not sure if I am going to send it back or not. I'm leaving on the trip, I needed it for in a few days. Ugh.
